No, the dude didn't say that.
“It’s allowed us to create some of the biggest tracks you will ever see in a racing game, with the most visually-dense environments, as well as a full global illumination system which allows us to make time of day, where shadows are cast, full-on reflections. It’s allowed us to push all those various areas.”
I didn't read where he said 30 fps was better for a racer, where did you read it?
Edit: of course it...
Non AAA games are only cool and selling points if they are on Xbox.
Also Titanfall being free helped along with the price drop. Sony doesn't need to do anything to counter at this point.
60 fps is great, but without features like day/night cycle racing, dynamic lighting, true feeling of speed and so forth I wouldn't even care. Glad that DriveClub has so many great technical features and next gen visuals. 60fps, if true, is just icing on the cake for me.
If they managed to hit 60fps in Drive Club I will seriously be shocked. It is true next gen visuals and racing environment. Drive Club and Project Cars make me very excited
Game looks so ridiculously great. But I have to agree, I wasn't expecting it to take so long to release. They have to be working on VR support. These graphics plus VR support would be heaven.
Yeah, maybe it will get overloaded with players and have hours of downtime. Like what happens to games with good dedicated server support. /s
Pretty sure if Sony can handle countless MMO's and shooters like MAG they can handle the mighty cloud supported titanfall and it's advanced cloud AI. Can't wait to play it on PS4, it is a cool game.
Dudebro
No, I'm saying that Sony did have a 120 fps game... You say the claim was ridiculous, but it is true.
@mrpsychoticstalker
They are bringing us the best game of last gen with dramatic improvements to resolution, fps, textures and AA. Along with great first party games this year. clearly they are doing it right this gen, not just paying off third party studios for pseudo exclusive franchises.

Were they wrong? http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
Strange that they feel they need to report sold to retailer numbers instead of sold to consumer numbers like Sony and Nintendo.
The game looks really fun. I think it will look great in 1080p and even better at higher res on pc. Can't lose either way.
No, actually VG chartz and sales are cool again because the X1 is barely out performing the PS4 due to price drops and a free game... If you want to see true interest and demand look at one of the largest suppliers, Amazon, and always see PS4 in the top 10 and the X1 nowhere to be found. Sony has to increase supply to other retailers for that demand...
Multiplats sell better on PS4, not to mention look and run better... strange.
I thought they were making a profit http://ps4daily.com/2013/11...
And that was last year, the process surely is becoming more efficient. plus with more software sold worldwide and more misc. sales http://www.amazon.com/best-... of PlayStation products I don't think they are ...
lol, move the goalposts again when the figures don't go your way.
aceitman tore your comment to shreds with figures. Even the mighty Halo has been outsold by a Sony franchise.
@frankdrebin72
It takes a powerful machine to not only make a game that looks good, but runs good too. Killzone was a graphical beast at launch, but another factor in machine power was that it ran well also. Infamous is the most imprssive game technically by far, but it also RUNS well...
So there are two factors that show power, visuals and performance, PS4 is proving to have enough power for both playable FPS(30+)and very power intensive graphics, without h...
I need to play Black Flag, it looks fun.
Definitely Infamous is the best looking artistically and is technically doing far more too. The most power intensive AA solution, far more polygons used per character, most particle effects, best draw distance with volumetric fog, 1080p etc...
My personal opinion is Ryse comes in second artistically, but Killzone runs better at 1080p. Which is most graphically intensive out of the two I am not sure, I am guessing Killzone is overall. Although Ryse uses a ton of great facial a...
I will honestly take that over last gen graphics from a first party studio.
