In the last PS3 update, I can now only Mute my Official PS3 mkII Headset while in a game....
Take it for what its worth,but to have a mute function that works by keeping your friends in contact, through out play, but dis-engaging everyone else.. Afterall, you'd never mute yourself for a friend.... Would you ?

I must add, the only games i've played with screen tearing, it has been minimal, however, any games that have "frame drops" really effected the gameplay at always "major" points...

When I played Gears 1 on my mate's xbox (I know it was available on PC) , I knew I had to get a 360 for gears 2 ...
And I did, but Gears 2 just didnt have the impact Gears 1 had... something seemed lacking, MP was majorly broken... the campaign had Lots of technical issues..
But that was then, and with all the great reviews and your comment above, I cant wait to play Gears 3..
