CD Projekt comes from a PC background, they don't have unlimited ressources, so it makes sense that they opted for the 360 since it's the closest console to a PC from a technical standpoint. It's easier to port from PC to 360.
PS3 titles work better when they are the lead.
They are not the only Euro RPG company with a PC background to do the same and go 360 first (Gothic, Venetica) or 360 only (Risen 1, Divinity II).

I'm none too pleased about the looting. Do we really need looting in everything now since Bioshock?
It's a shooter not an RPG. Looting every corpse for 1 or 2 bucks is gonna get old fast.
I'm okay with a looting mechanic if there's interesting stuff to loot, not just a couple coins in each body's pocket.
Other than that, it looks alright. I hope they keep the allies from FC2 but it probably won't happen.

As soon as I knew that the game shipped with a grand total of 3 multiplayer maps, I knew that wealth of content was worth pre-ordering.

Oh but that's the least of my concerns.

My concern is that they will port all of the Vita's top titles to the PS3, nullifying my Vita purchase.

The same thing happened of the PSP. How many of the PSP's (few) good games remained exclusives? Not a lot.

GTA LCS, VCS = ported to PS2
Syphon Flter DM, LS = ported to PS2
Wipeout Pure, Pulse = ported to PS2, PS3
God of War CoO, GoS = ported to PS3

Mercenaries 2 is not really a must play, and neither is Kane & Lynch 2.
I didn't like Infamous 2, I found that all missions felt the same. Just a bunch of waypoints. Go there, enemies spawn, repeat. Missions objectives were too crude.

I recommand Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom. Combat is a bit of a grind and enemies respawn too often, but its a good and pretty long action adventure game.

Didn't really like the art style in Amalur, but I like the fact that it mixes Computer RPG depth with console-style hack n slash.

Please... It's not just the post apocalyptic setting.
The invasive vegetation and buildings look the same, it has a tough guy and a fragile moody heroine with coop puzzles, and they even hired the same lead designer from Ninja Theory.

All coincidence I'm sure!

And for the record, I didn't even really like Enslaved. It was OK nothing more. So I'm not bitter that Naughty Dog will get more recognition than Ninja Theory with their ta...

...So instead of making it like Uncharted, we made it like a mix of Uncharted and Enslaved.
Now we feel much better about ourselves.

PS3 fanboy: "Awesome, some website made a disparaging headline against the Xbox. Sure that's just 3rd rate journos looking for hits, but I'm not going to let that get in the way of my happiness to see the system I don't own get thrashed! Let's play it up! And when it's done I can go back to playing Uncharted 3 with piece on my mind."

Wasn't God of War Chains of Olympus supposed to be as long as the first God of War?
I'll believe it when I see it.

And since all tolerable PSP games ended up being ported to a home console, I'm pretty sure this one will be coming to the PS3 down the line as well.

I invested good money in my PSP and I'm still a bit bitter about the few great games the platform had being ported over, so I'm not sure if I'll buy a Vita.

In Skyrim, you can kill NPCs and they resurrect like retards 10 seconds later, oblivious to the fact that you just attacked them.
Didn't know you could still do that in a 2011 game but you can.
Awesome(ly bad)!

The gunfights got better with Uncharted 2 (they were abysmal in the original) but they still weren't great.
I don't know how they are in U3 but those who say U2 had top of the line shooting mechanics are delusional.

Tons of enemies spawn in the same place, a few weapons lack punch, headshots feel awkward and somewhat random, and worst of all enemies are horrible bullet sponges. Each of them takes an excruciating amount of duck and shoot to kill.
If...

Crime is still not done right in the game.
I was very disappointed by how close it actually is to Oblivion.
Essential NPCs reawakening and not acknowledging that the body of a loved one is laying right next to them, an NPC magically learns that I'm the one who committed a crime just from seeing the victim's body despite not being present during the deed, etc...

It feels like a step backwards compared to New Vegas, where you could kill everyone and ...

Gamespot is stricter than most websites but generally doesn't give scores that are really against the grain.
It's quite a slap in the face coming from what is probably the most respected among the largest gaming websites.

The over reliance on fetch quests and item collecting seems to be a concern for many reviewers even those who like it.
I guess McShea decided he wasn't gonna give the franchise a pass for those problems solely based on its ped...

Den Defense reeked of back-of-the-box-bullet-point addition.
It's starting to feel like these sports games where they add pointless modes like card collecting to justify another purchase.

Look we know that yearly updates in an open world franchises like this are a cash-in. Don't try too hard to prove otherwise cause it's not gonna work.

I'm convinced it indeed looks better on the PS3.
I've seen a vid on another website and textures are slightly sharper on the PS3, with select elements looking markedly better.
This is not necessarily a surprise since apparently it's still based on the same tech as their previous games, and New Vegas had slightly better textures on the PS3 too.

It seems there are also the same issues with load times getting longer as you play in Skyrim, as well ...

They could have tweaked the games and ported the Peace Walker controls to MGS 2&3.
If they won't bother with that, too bad because it's 2011, and as a product released in 2011 it should be judged according to current standards.
If they didn't want MGS 2&3 to be criticized for their controls, they had to either justify charging me money again by tweaking them, or leave them on the PS2.
