Yes it's true, Ghost Recon used to be long distance outdoor assaults compared to RS' breaching, but it was not sexy enough so they shortened distances and made it more in your face.
Splinter Cell feels a lot like Rainbow Six too now.
Which is funny since the first build of SCC might have been canned for looking too much like another game: Assassin's Creed.
But now we have WatchDogs, which is totally SC+AC.

AC had some PoP in its DNA to...

Port.

LBP and KZ are not 3rd party.
NFS Most Wanted and FIFA are ports.
BO Declassified is an original, but quickly made by the same B-team studio that developed the awful Resistance Burning Skies alongside it.

So basically, the only AAA 3rd party game on the Vita for 2012 that's not a port is Assassin's Creed Liberation.

"Third-party support for Vita has come under some scrutiny, but the backing the device has achieved from Ubisoft, EA, Activision, Capcom, Warner, Konami and so forth has been significant. These firms have not just rushed through ports onto the platform, but carefully re-worked games or created exclusive products purpose built for Sony’s portable."

This kind of empty, nebulous statement proves that the gaming press is just happy to regurgitate whatever spin manufac...

Braid is just a bunch of cut and paste puzzle levels with a few text screens containing divagations about sentimental life, hinting that said puzzles may be a subte parabole about sentimental life, which they obviously aren't.
They're just samey 2D platforming puzzles.

So I guess he has a point not trying to tell a story in his next game.

I hope it's powerful enough to run Dawnguard.

2x RAM doesn't equal 2x "more power".

You conveniently skipped the part where they say that the CPU is disappointing.

Wow just saw that apparently, GoW Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta are not on a disc in the GoW Saga package, they are DL only.
GoW3 and the pair of PS2 games seem to be on disc, but not the other two.

Way to ruin one of the best compilations in gaming, cheapskates!

What's the difference between this and the Ratchet HD Trilogy that was released a few months ago?
Just a repackaging to include it in this new promotion campaign I guess?

Anyway, glad I held out on buying the GoW HD Collection Volume 1, I had a feeling that they were going to repackage them together at one point, and sure enough, Sony didn't "disappoint".
Another proof that you should never, ever be a loyal, early adopter of videogame pro...

First one was maybe not technically better, but it was more fun. So I have to agree with the writer.

Darksiders 1 drags on towards the end, with one dungeon being overlong and a fetch quest being tacked on.

But it still has much more visual variety to it than the second, where there are two main zones and largely the same greyish color palette all along.
They tried to mix it up by having some filter added in a couple dungeons, but that's not ...

Ragnarok: Could be a decent MH style game
Assassin's Creed: Looks like a solid spin-off
Call of Duty: From the makers of Resistance Burning Skies
LBP: We'll see how much content is added compared to LBP2
Persona: Enhanced port, admittedly one of the more promising of such remakes.

Madden 13: Don't need to get a Vita to play it
SF X Tekken: Don't need to get a Vita to play it
NFS: Don't need to get a V...

Not sure if I should believe an article that starts with "If you haven't tried Resistance: Burning Skies and Foosball 2012, you're definitely missing out."

I was saYing that because KZ3 didn't sell very much.

It's an okay game but the second act in the kingdom of the dead is really too much of a grind.
The lack of narrative really becomes apparent and the dungeons feel like they are all the product of the same map editor at some point.
After something like 12 to 15 hours in the same catacomb style environments collecting stuff by groups of 3, even the looting and platforming that once enlivened the adventure became a chore.

The looting does add a bit of pe...

Whenever I get bored of Skyrim, I stop playing Skyrim, and go for an RPG that has actual roleplay and freedom in how you can finish quests, instead of a ton of linear scripted quests like Skyrim.

Works wonder for me, you should try it too!

Indie games developed by one or two-man teams that will also appear on other platforms... Big deal.
Wow, what a commitment to put these on the Vita.

Even the Call of Duty game is developped by Nihilistic. That says it all.
Assassin's Creed is the Vita's only true system seller on the horizon, and maybe, maybe Killzone if that brand still has enough momentum.

Surprised Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy didn't make the list.
Probably too little known, but one of the best Zelda-style games, better than many on this list.

Psychonauts is overrated and, on top of that, it has nothing to do with Zelda. It's a pure platformer with no puzzle and a mind numbing quantity of item collecting.

I though that Brazil was expensive as well.

There are also some countries where videogame rentals are impossible due to legalities, which is a huge problem.

On top of that, you know they are gonna re-release a complete edition with all the DLC soon after.
For AC2, they even did one with DLC as vouchers, and yet another with DLC on the disc.
Then there were also editions with the short movie, with or without DLC.
Pre and post release, I couldn't even tell you how many editions of AC2 there were.

Yeah, after seeing the Boston E3 movie, I was suprised that there in fact seemed to be relatively little difference with previous installments for a so-called full, numbered title.

One moment in said Boston demo, you even see Connor going through a checkpoint, and the AI detected him in a very sudden, unnatural manner as soon as he crossed an invisible line. The guards walked right alongside him, he crossed the checkpoint and they went "That's him!" and pulled...
