Im vaguely interested in the 3d graphics thing, but I don't own the neccessary hardware. Without that it looks fairly unremarkable.
Same here!
Preferred the older games myself, I'm not a fan of Bethesda's story telling methods or writing at all really. Still sunk plenty of hours into Fallout 3 because the world was pretty fun to explore.
Well, I'd qualify hiring Obsidian to write and develop the next game as hiring better writers personally, after all they do have the people who wrote Plansescape Torment and parts of Fallout 2 working there.
I's hard to type a comment about IWNet for me right now, without wanting to fill it with expletives, such a frustratingly bad system.
Its the grapplegun antics that look like the most fun to me in this one, but whether itll be fun past the first couple hours remains to be seen.
Braid was better than half the games that came out last year, great example of what a 2D game can be and how it can compete with 3D games in the modern market.
I think indies have done an admirable job of keeping the 2D platformer alive and well. Spelunky for instance harks back to a lot of older games, but does everything better than them and is really addictive, good fun. Think its headed for the consoles as well.
Well as opposed to all those other beautiful MPs you mean?
Like Ann Widdecombe? *shudders*
I wouldn't bet against some hideously overpriced MP map packs and the like either.
There's plenty to be cynical about and normally I'm as cynical and snarky as the next person. But I've been bloody addicted to the MP since I installed the thing, hard to tear myself away.
Hopefully their sense of fun can transition into the game, looks good so far.
I can safely predict that killing Uwe Boll with a badgersaw will be the highlight of this game.
Had my first experience of IWnet last night on the PC version and it's far from perfect, but we've all heard enough grumbling about that by now..
Well, from my admittedly short time using wii fit, all it seemed to be about was shifting the weight slightly on each foot. Hardly good excercise
My 360 runs louder than my PC, and my PC hardly runs silently
It's great for laptops, very very low system specs and even a netbook mode.
Hopefully playing as a marine will be just as wet yourself scary as in the original.
About time a member of parliament approached the topic with some sense, gaming is an absolutely massive industry. Yet the UK gaming industry is hardly treated with any respect or support by the government.
Retailers and parents are more culpable for sales to minors than the actual developers anyway.
Even the TV companies say that 3D tech will stay as a high -end luxury item for rich people for the forseeable future, don't see it going mainstream for many years, assuming it even catches on. All reeks of cheapy gimmick to me, never been impressed by 3D films.
