You can't just presume every single owner has played GTA V. The PS4 and Xbox One will be many people's first console and I personally know a handful of people who made the decision not to purchase GTA V, knowing it would at some point some to the current generation.

I also disagree that the 'ONLY' point of upgrading is for visual improvements. If Rockstar are offering me the exact same game but with better graphic fidelity, then I probably won't purchase i...

If you actually read the article you'll see they're focusing on this game. The director was simply asked about sequel potential by the interviewer.

Also, everything requires forward planning. Sony executives will already be discussing the PS5. It's also clear these guys want to make a franchise out this game, and honestly, if they manage to pull this one off I suspect they will.

Well apart from the developers of the game itself, no one's experienced the story as a whole, merely individual sections. I hope, and suspect, that alongside the graphical fidelity, the story will prove to be one of this game's strongest assets. Has it revolutionised the third person shooter in terms of gameplay? Nope, but I don't see why that has to be such a bad thing, which clearly the media wants us to believe. If it works well, then great. Not every title needs to be innovati...

Believe it or not, unlike yourself, most people don't sit in anticipating waiting for developers to tell us what resolution and frame-rate their games will be. If that's your thing, then that's cool, but I'd much rather get excited about the game itself. To me they're just by-products. Runs at 1080p? That's great. 900p? Fine by me, I trust the developer's decision.

Also, suggesting a game shouldn't be released on the Xbox One just because it is...

May pick this up once it's in the bargain bin. No doubt this particular game will be selling at less than half its original RRP within a couple of weeks after release.

It's a big deal. I also suspect it's going to receive a little more critique in many comment sections around the web than it would have had it been for multiple platforms (since some people are obviously going to be annoyed about the whole exclusivity business).

Shh, that ruins their whole argument. Valid points don't fit in quarrels like this.

'before they begin milking it'

Why is it inheritably bad for them to continue to bring new instalments into the series, assuming they maintained the same level of quality? I don't understand how this negative 'milking' mentality can be applied to everything. If it continues to be outstanding and innovative, then what's the problem? Naughty Dog have two separate teams, so one would presumably be working on a new IP anyway. If Call of Duty actually made ...

If this does end up being the last, I'd hazard a guess that The Last of Us will take over as Naughty Dog's flagship IP (perhaps one or two sequels this generation - maybe even a prequel) and then we'll see something new near the end of the PS4's life. I really can't see The Last of Us being a standalone title. There's so much more that can be explored in that universe, and personally I'm really interested to see it. It was a critical success, and I imagine it sold ...

The Order in February and then Bloodborne in March. Good stuff!

No female protagonist(s) -> therefore hates women.

Love this kind of logic.

The author is suggesting that the comment: 'we really don’t want to release piecemeal information until we can say this is The Last Guardian – so we ask you to wait' (hence the bold), is what indicates it's in development hell.

Not entirely sure how he reached that conclusion myself though.

Or just optimisation. They have SCE Japan Studio at hand for help.

This is probably the game I'd most like to know more about. Hopefully we're told more in the not too distant future.

Gears ain't coming in 2015 buddy. Black Tusk only started working with the ip in February this year. Isn't gonna be out until 2016, at best.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is coming later this year. Great franchise.

@oODEADPOOLOo

'they milked games release until now'

They were making money. That's what businesses do.

'they couldnt even be bothered to present the news themselves and let Sony do it.'

This actually made me cringe. Announcing it at Sony's briefing obviously provided more media coverage than it would have if they had done it on their website/twitter. it's got nothing to do with whether or not they c...

Really hope the part about 32 players is true. 16 was far too empty for me, especially considering the size of the map (most of which was empty the majority of the time, with the exception of the city).

I was referring to Neogaf. Neither PSLS or PSU commented on frame rate. If it was as bad as these guys claim, they would have.
