Geez, what is it with people in here?
If you like Zombi or not it has broken the indie only trend, hopefully this means Sony will now continue to deliver a AAA game each month for now on.

There's a lot missing on the list.

Top 7 should at least have-

1. Uncharted 4
2. Horizon : Zero Dawn
3. Ratchet and Clank
4. The Tomorrow Children
5. Dreams
6. No Man's Sky
7. Detroit

Remaining 3 are up for grabs but honestly i'd put 'South Park The Fractured But Whole' above most of those generic looking 3rd party games listed.

"It's VR in the sense that it was a headset that put you in a game."

Lol, that's like saying you can access the matrix by taking LSD because it makes you see things.

Incorrect the screen is 1920x1080, which is 1080P.

Here's a slide of the specs from the VR conference.

'Imagine Naughty Dog developing Uncharted 4 to two sets of hardware.'

Do devs currently develop different versions for 720p and 1080p?

If the answer is no then their will be no difference for 2160p(4K) either.

It's a shame they made DriveClub and not a new Motorstorm.
It's like Free Radical all over again.

No it won't, everything will be exactly the same except some will play in 4K while others play in 1080P or less.

It is no different to people already playing 1080p games on 720p TVs.
Everyone can still play each other in the exact same games.

It's not just Kotaku as VentureBeat have also confirmed via their own sources.

As for not owning a 4K TV that is because there was never a reason to own one but as we have it movie companies are calling 2016 the year of 4K and will start publishing movies in this new format....

If it works like i had mentioned above you wouldn't need to and still retain access to the latest games.

Low - High
PS4 - PS4K
PS4K - PS5/PS8K
PS5/PS8K - PS6/PS16K

It's actually a good idea IF it means going forward there will always be two PlayStation models available. A high end with bleeding edge tech and a lower end that is more affordable to the general consumer.

Both can always play the same games and always having a low end means they won't get into another PS3 situation again with trying to push Blu-ray to everyone at a premium price.

Going 4K would also mean a further PlayStation wouldn't be require...

The only thing MS are preparing for is a future where they are no longer part of consoles and these are all moves brought on by the new CEO.

1. Xbox has never made money, shareholders validated this a while back and the 2015 financials continue to back this.

2. MS needs to ensure gaming stays on Windows since Steam had threatened to move to Linux after the Win10 fiasco.

Whether you think they are leaving or not doesn't matter as it is a f...

"Shouldn't we be encouraging these companies to not copy and paste each other but try something different and out the box?"

No, why would you think this?

Just Rigs, VR Worlds and maybe FFXIV.
That said I doubt I'll get one at launch.

There are a lot of unknowns here like for all we know ICE could be working on a VR API which could save a lot of the leg work.

2974d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why not both?
As long as VR enabled games have no impact on non VR users then I see no problem with it.

Virtual Warhawk would be the bomb.
Even if it were just the PS3 version remastered with first person VR enhancements I would put money down on VR right now.

It is no different to not including the PS4 itself in the price.
This isn't marketered to just those whom already own a PS4 but everyone.
