TERA Online is a Retail Fantasy MMORPG the likes of Aion and RIFT, in that it utilizes the standard quest-based MMORPG format perfected by WoW to deliver a traditional experience rather than an entirely new one. Luckily, it subscribes to the popular axiom 'imitate and innovate', so where RIFT and Aion failed to include enough new content to be a contender in the 'innovate' category, TERA did not.

While everyone else is either drooling and/or Foaming at the mouth for Guild Wars 2 and Star Wars The Old Republic I'm happily awaiting the The North American release for TERA.

The games characters and environment are really really gorgeous and highly detailed. I love the real time combat unlike other MMO's that are turn base and boring. Can't wait to play as this game also has the hottest female characters ever! The Castanics.

WoW is a mess and it will continue to be a mess. Still, the less-developed MMOs are going to have trouble gaining a fan base because they lack content right now. Even if people do flock to FF14 or BDO, they'll go back to WoW if they fix enough features or give players a shred of hope.
