Is Homefront the New CoD? (Multiplayer Wise)

the multiplayer looks really fun from what I've seen. if its balanced then I cant see people just forgetting this game a week later.

What worries me most about Homefront is that I don't know how long the online community will thrive. Games like KZ3 and COD have a much more thriving online community, regardless of high or low quality. I have to see that Homefront sells successfully with more than just 50k players to be convinced that the online community will thrive.

I think it might be able to hold my interest till Brink or Battlefield3 arrive.

Reminds me more of Battlefield though, probably due to the more open environment and vehicles.

The CoD bashing is getting ridiculous. Its a great game but lets tell the truth here...the only thing that has the ability to beat CoD is BF3. Once the buzz gets out and kids who know nothing about blogs, online forums, or N4G get a glimpse...all you'll hear is "I WANT THAT"

I wasnt referring to the article. I was referring to the member comments. Everything successful seems to find a few idiots that just want to hate it for no reason. Name 1 perfect shooter? Don't worry, i'll wait...

I can name so many mediocre games that CoD surpasses, but never get bashed like Shadowrun, Rainbow Six, Warhawk, Resistance, and Metro. I guess when you're top...everyone hates a winner. I am not a CoD whore, but it's not a horrible game.

When the CoD heads finally abandon CoD it will be for something similar, not BF3 and not Homefront. CoD heads want a game with small levels, small player count, and little thought required. Frag fest, not tactics.

There's another title I can think of that could likely dethrone CoD when it gets announced. Counter-Strike 2. The day that gets announced is the day many a gamer will cry in joy.
