It may be nothing, it might not even be the Dave Jones of Realtime Worlds, but it all seems very fitting after Realtime Worlds went into administration with the loss of 150 jobs.
The staff has recieved two days pay, and nothing more.
Could Dave be raising funds to buy MyWorld? Or is he selling the cars to pay his staff?
We’ll leave the speculation to you.
Dave Jones suggests VR is about to enter a new phase of technological evolution.
VR is in iy's very early stages for sure. I'm waiting to jump in until the tech improves after trying PSVR.
They should put out an optional dlc that makes first perspective mode support VR in GTA5
Cloudgine's Dave Jones and Maurizio Sciglio are going to provide developers with a platform-agnostic tech enabling them to tap into the power of the cloud.
GR:
It's been quite a while since the building-leaping, orb-collecting sandboxes of the Crackdown series graced an Xbox console, which makes all that over-the-top destruction of the new Crackdown all the more appetising. So it's no surprise that ability to destroy fully-rendered buildings down to their last bricks has fast become the star of the show. When Crackdown finally arrives on Xbox One in 2016, the only thing that's going to be holding you back is the capability of your Internet Provider.
I hope i can destroy vending machines so i can have a nice snack for my character.
"the only thing that's going to be holding you back is the capability of your Internet Provider"
Didn't Microsoft give a required speed for this. If I remember correctly, you don't have to be going that fast. Still, its something to consider. But I think Microsoft can deal with this with clever matchmaking.
"So it's no surprise that ability to destroy fully-rendered buildings down to their last bricks has fast become the star of the show."
I think it will be just one of a few stars of the show.
A lot of possibilities with the destruction though:
-make your own exit (like the tank falling through the roof in battlefield only not scripted)
-perhaps selectively destroy strategically placed bricks allowing the character to climb the wall
-bring the roof down on an enemy
-destroying a bridge so the enemy can't overrun your position
I hope the possibilities are only limited by the imagination of the player.
Also looking forward to seeing visual effects like volumetric fog
Also smarter (and more) NPCs
Exciting stuff
MS had more than gaming in mind when they spent billions over the last decade on the Azure network, but it appears gamers will also reap the benefits.
Poor Dave Jones. Stepped down from being incharge of the company to creative director and the whole thing messed up, had most of his team backstab him to make Crackdown 2...
Who gives a shit if he is selling his cars? Couldn't care less
