Kane & Lynch 2 Single Player 'Under 4hrs'

splinter cell convictions was not much longer games these days are just so much shorter than what they used be its very sad. because I always used to think it would be the other way round.

Nah, SC:C took me about 8-10 hours and my guess is this'll be about the same length, which is fine by me.

I paid 40 bucks for the Limited Edition, and I think I'll enjoy the game, so I'm cool with it.

I've talked to some guys who've been playing it as well, and they didn't like the game, but they didn't mention it was this short. My guess is it'll be about the same length as SC: Conviction and Alan wake, which took me 8-10 hours.

Finished this game in 3 hours and seven minutes on normal difficulty. I don't consider myself to be the most amazing gamer and I did not rush through it. The reviewer is spot on and if anything, conservative.

If this is in fact the case (4hr campaign) there is no way it's worth full MSRP.
Games like this should be reduced to a lower MSRP like $39.99 or even lower.

I can agree about the price needs to be adjusted to reflect the value you are getting out of the game... games like Uncharted 2 and Mass Effect 2 can charge $60 at launch and you don't feel like you're getting ripped, but if it is true, and this game only has a 4 hour campaign, then a lower price would be the right move... I'm sure it will drop pretty quick. I'd be willing to pay $30.

If I play this game 3 hours each day, it means I'll finish it in 2 days right?
But if I play it 30 minutes each day, I will finish it in 9 days.

If you play it for 3 hours each day, and finish it in 2 days, then you have invested 6 hours total into the game. 3+3=6

If you play for 1 hour each day, and finish it in 6 days, then you have invested 6 hours total into the game. 1x6=6.

This is basic math, and you are trying to complicate something that is really simple. Finishing it in 2 days does not mean you invested 2 days. Finishing it in 9 days does not mean you invested 9 days into it.

A 4 hour game is a 4 hour game no matter how many sessions it takes to complete.

Online killing sp is no longer an excuse, Uncharted 2 has proven that (the time it took to make U2 was what, like 2 years?). Don't blame mp, blame the devs.

But devs are only catering to all the screams for MP. Look at all the backlash a game gets if it has no MP. Even Bioshock got it. All that time and money has to come from somewhere, and could be spent on the main game so we dont keep getting this micro-game sh*t.

Just how many versions of deathmatch and CTF do we need anyway.

From the actual gaming community, sp games don't get very much backlash at all. Sure, the casuals may not buy games if they don't have mp in them, but to be fair, they aren't real gamers, and most likely aren't smart enough to recognize quality in anything (movies, music, tv, food, art, literature).

Devs that are catering to the MP demands obviously aren't very good developers, and if they didn't cave in to mp demand in the first place, their game would still most likely suck or be mediocre. Sure, the sp might be a little longer, but that doesn't mean the game would be any better.

And some people like multiplayer. I could say the same thing about single player as well. Just how many versions of "Run, kill bad guys, rinse, repeat" do we need? With mp, at least you can do repetitive stuff with your friends, which makes the game more enjoyable.

Good SP games are a dime a dozen. SP only games have just the same amount of suck ratio as mp games do.
