Medal of Honor Beta: First pictures leaked

The first screenshots from the Medal of Honor Multiplayer Beta have been leaked in the web. They look a lot like Call of Duty.

I may not be the biggest CoD fan but come on, THAT looks EXACTLY like CoD/MW. If they labeled MoH online MP vids as MW2 map pack DLC#4 no one would flinch.

Yeah it does look a lot like MW. But I think thats a good thing, because MW2 let a lot of gamers down, so this could be the arcadeish shooter fans expected MW2 to be.

Gunsights look a lot like like BF though.

Maybe the objects in the game look like COD, but look farther than that. Look in the distance, and you'll actually see buildings in the distance and clouds that add to the depth. The maps(assuming this is multiplayer) actually feel expansive, instead of feeling like the maps that are in the middle of nowhere like in MW2.

It might look like COD, but im glad it won't be a noob fest online since the online portion is being managed by Dice.

ahah, no it's actually right. I've had about 60 to 70% of my games freeze between last night and this morning. The games pretty good so far but it's hard to gauge it when you can get through an entire match.

I was looking forward to this medal of honor..
But I didnt like BF:BC 2 and dice have used their engine for this.
So I doubt im gonna get it now, I hate dice games, they dont play as well as COD (even though MW2 is flawed like crazy).
Before all the BF fanboys make all sorts of noise, BC2 didnt kill Call of Duty.

It didn't kill COD because its not a casual arcade game, its a realistic shooter. COD is spray and pray, with no sense of actual skill or aiming. BFBC2 you actually have to know how to aim, burst your shots, and stay in cover accordingly or you will die, and die, and die, up until the point where you sell the game because you suck at it. Why do you think most games are casual now? because overall BFCB2 was the better shooter it was just harder, but its not as easy to pick up and play which is why people don't stick to it like COD.

Are you serious? Do you not know what the term "realistic" means in the gaming world? Its a video game, its not ment to be 100% realistic.

that DICE does right is the atmosphere. Between the particle effects, environment layout, SOUNDS especially, it all comes together to make some of the most authentic shooter experiences..

That being said, I've been playing since it opened up yesterday and the beta is in VERY early stages. Lots of problems and one being the freezing of course.. but even down to core gameplay its like DICE deliberately half-assed it to keep BC2 on top (where it should be :P) as BF is their baby

I know that isn't the case, and I have faith in DICE to fix it but right now it lacks quite a bit..

it IS however, exactly like BC2 only cod4 type maps.. sort of blend between the 2. some of the audio files and straight up game mechanics are exact replicates of what they used in BC2 so it really just feels like a BC2 expansion labelled like "close quarters" or something that represents quick / tight gameplay vs open maps that BC2 has right now..

Overall, it's much closer to BC2 than mw2.

lol i can assure you it's not.

- no full distructibility - only small cover can be destroyed
- vehicles only in some modes (and only 1 vehicle available on helmand)
- tdm 12v12
- offensive/defensive killstreak system
- movement is much faster than bfbc2

it's a cross between mw and bfbc2 imo, even with a little MAG thrown in there in terms of how the weapons handle.
