HOW IS THIS ONLY A 12?!?! THIS IS TOTALLY PSYCHOTIC!!!!

HolyOrangeCows5488d ago (Edited 5488d ago )

It's just serial killing, violent torture, and suicide. Perfect for a 12 year old.

I'm actually sort of interested in this game now. I don't think I would shell out $60, but maybe at a cheaper price.

Could be worth $47 + free shipping... (same price both PS3 and 360)

"...scare him out of there, break his neck and risk the rescue (?) of which would just need him suffering for the others to witness" - yeah, that will make a good 12 years old!/s

Those were some grizzly executions. I could bearly watch the whole thing, with such pandamonium going on, and had to paws the video several times. But this game does look interesting. I'd like to see some more screen-shots on this game, but not those crappy screen-shots taken from a kodiak.

It will be interesting to see how people react to this game. People will either love it, or hate it. It seems like it will be a very polarizing issue. I however, think this will be a very koalaity game.

This would defiantly be M by the ESRB's standards.

Anyways this game actually looks like it has a lot of depth and it seems to have very interesting gameplay. I also like it's art style.

Nope, it's rated T for Teen for Violence.

From the ESRB website:

"This is an action game in which players assume the role of a large stuffed teddy bear named Naughty Bear, who lives alone in a hut on Paradise Island. Players are prompted by an unseen narrator to interact with other teddy bears, and to perform assorted "naughty" tasks: scaring other bears in order to drive them insane; using weapons (pipes, machetes, baseball bats, pistols, ray guns, etc.) to attack and kill pedestrian, zombie, alien, and paramilitary teddy bears; and sabotaging or destroying other bears' parties, tools, and daily activities. Damage is indicated by squeals and clouds of fluffy cotton. Though the art style is overtly colorful and "cartoony," players have the ability to finish enemies off (e.g., slamming heads with car doors, breaking necks, stomping, impaling) and drive teddy bears to commit suicide (e.g., self-stabbing, shots to the head). Throughout the game, the narrator provides guidance and encouragement with the intent to be humorous; for example, "Awesome Electrocution," "Defluffication," and "When a bear becomes insane, you can run up close to him and perform an outrageously naughty move . . ."

Looking back to 2010 and Naughty Bear: 10 Years And Still No Invite

Nick writes: "At its launch, Naughty Bear was seemingly overshadowed by E3 a couple of weeks prior. Major releases like Fallout: New Vegas and StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty grabbed gamers’ attention months prior, whereas Naughty Bear, comparable to its terrible stealth mechanics, released on a whimper. The overwhelming influx of poor reviews didn’t help its case either. Yet, a decade later and here I am - writing about a game that continues to serve as a stress reliever or a rainy day substitute. That has to count for something, as I can’t say the same for most triple-A releases."

Naughty in a Non-Sexual Way

TheLateNightGamer: I’d assume that most gamers have at least heard of Naughty Bear. Unfortunately, it’s probably from people putting it on their list of terrible games. I’ll admit, this wasn’t a game that I played so much my neighbors thought I was dead. It’s not perfect, sure. But it deserves a lot more credit than most people give it.
