NCAA Basketball 10 - ZTGD Review

The Wombat writes: In the last couple of years, EA has made a concentrated effort to improve the quality of its basketball franchises. Facing stiff competition on the Professional B-Ball game front, they made substantial improvements to their NBA Live franchise in an attempt to catch up to the superior NBA 2K series. Seeing an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone (although thankfully requiring no actual birds to be slain in the name of progress), they passed many of these upgrades on to the NCAA Basketball series. While last years title featured most of the heavy lifting in terms of upgrades, this years product does its best to refine those improvements in gameplay and presentation into an even better final product. While they've certainly succeeded on elevating the quality of the franchise considerably, a few nagging issues prevent the game from living up to its championship potential.

I loved the way they did the high school to the NFL Draft between NCAA Football and Madden.

EA can't seem to catch a break in court

Coach_McGuirk3940d ago

they've been catching breaks for decades..

brish3940d ago

In layman's terms, they were ripping off players likeness to make money. They should have lost because they were wrong.

This is another point to help them win next years worst company in America award.

BillytheBarbarian3940d ago

Dirty EA is getting what was coming since they started blocking other publishers from putting out competitive sports games.

MadMen3940d ago

EA how about you stop having exclusive licenses and maybe youll shine in a better light.

March Madness: Why Haven’t We Seen a College Basketball Game In 3 Years?

Virtual Katz Writes: We are underway in the NCAA Tournament, kicking off tonight with the first round play-in games coming and going and the real fun is about to begin. What better way to celebrate the kick off of the greatest basketball of the year than to figure out why we haven’t had a way, as gamers, to pay homage to the hardwood classic. We, up until the 2011 season, had a yearly release from Electronic Arts, and up until 2008 had a competitor in a 2K series as well.

The main reson why I don't bother with anything other than the tournament is because of the low talent pool. All of the talent heads off to the NBA.. There a few exciting players in the ncaa now but how would developers know prior to the start of a season. I don't care to watch a team full of adequate to mediocre players year after year. The NBA should raise the age limit to 21...would force thses kids to learn the game and it would make for a better March tournament. ..and some might even get an education O.o

Not to mention that College ball now they dont really score points anymore. I watched a game the other day where the final was 36 - 39 that is just insane. They focus way to much on defense then nobody really knows how to score lol.

And the 30 second shot clock /facepalm. They sit out on the perimeter for 25 seconds, then swing it inside to the post...which is what they should have done 24 seconds ago...
