In light of the recent financial times I decided to see if the idea of being able to get some free games stuff is actually possible or if it is all a mythology, just like the idea of free beer tomorrow? Does the saying 'nothing in life comes for free' actually apply to games?
The answer, I have come to the conclusion, is that at least in financial terms it is possible to get free game related stuff and some really good stuff as well, big title games, merchandise even free current generation consoles. It may take the expenditure of some of your time, you may have to make a few other small sacrifices but the holy grail of game freebies is certainly possible.
As of right now, there are no monopolies in the games industry, and for the sake of the medium as a whole, they never should either.
