Shadows of Almia is a relatively short game by Pokémon standards, and with no ability to build a party of monsters that you live and grow with, that's not surprising. This is a quick side-trip through the world of pocket monsters, and you end up much less invested in living it because of that. Like the mechanics of capturing Pokémon with stylus-drawn circles, all of Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia seems shallow and best left for kids, but it will certainly keep them entertained all the same.

I don't mind ^^. I am in the cosplaying scene as cosplayer/photographer and this is nothing new to me. I know some Mistys with big OO and less quite original OO's XD.
for record I'm not complaining. I'm a big fan of her "Pokeballs", just caught me off guard. OMG (forgive me for this) - Squirtle, use milk attack.

No joke. We were talking about this too. You don't go to OU (Ohio) do you? There is like a Pokemon craze sweeping Athens, Oh. But still. That is crazy because we we're talking about the old cartoon and bam.
haha same deal. I think anyone who's either just about finishing college or just starting or somewhere in between played and watched pokemon as a youngster, and now they're all getting back into it minus the tv show. I've already clocked up 160 hours in HGGS and already have 300 pokemon :D If I fail my final year, pokemon was to blame.
Also I know the Irish Misty that features in this... kind of weird she showed up in this.
No doubt about that. My roommate and I have both Gold and Silver. I may have not bought any Pokemon games since they left the Gameboy Color, but I am totally enjoying the remakes. I can't wait till finals are over in a couple weeks.

A light week for RPG deals overall, but Final Fantasy XIII is marked down, plus a discount on Pokmans and a few bucks off the .hack//Link import.

The gang at TheSpeedGamers are made of tougher stuff than I am, apparently. They've decided that they're going to attempt to collect all 493 Pokémon. And they're going to do it in a 72-hour period, live on the internet, as a charity drive for an Oklahoma-based children's cancer charity, Ally's House.
No outside trading, just pure capturing skill involved. Of course, some of the Pokémanz were only available at live events, so special exceptions have been made for these creatures which will be pre-loaded on one of the cartridges they'll be using.

Dam... loved the Blue and Red days of 151, even though 251 was nice too in Gold and Silver.
I think pokemon has lost it's direction. We don't want 400+ pokemon I just liked collecting them all. 100 pokemon would be plenty so long as I know how to collect them and have a list at all times.
I'm surprised no one has made a pokemon clone... actually no I'll change that I'm surprised I haven't heard of one.
Wow they have 493 pokemons now...back in the day i could only remember 151 by heart(bcs they had a rap song at the end of the show).I'd like to see a rap song with 493 pokemon lolz..
