The Pursuer from Dark Spuls 2 was great, I think the author just sucks at games.
Assassin's Creed 2 was amazing. Best AC game by far. Masterful writing and phenomenal music. Jesper Kyd's soundtrack for AC2 is some of the best in all of gaming and up there with Nobuo Uematsu and Keiji Kondo.
I still consider Assassins Creed II the best in the series. Besides the narrative and soundtrack, for it's time they truly nailed the character growth of Ezio, the setting and gameplay.
