An opinion column via eGamer in which the author takes a look back on 2013 in the context of gaming, picks some particular moments to talk about, and then looks ahead to next year.
Quote: "In any case we now stand on the brink of a new generation of gaming, and with 2014 fast approaching (seriously, it feels as if January was fucking yesterday, man) the number of uniquely current-gen offerings is dwindling. At the end of the previous generation we got some amazing titles and this time is no different, only it kinda is, because reasons. I’ll get into them in a bit, don’t worry. I will just say for now that this year has been a mild disappointment for me. Intrigue!"
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.
With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.
I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.
Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder
One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
2013 has been the best year in gaming for a long time.
Gears, Sly, Ratchet, Dead Space, TLOU, Beyond, GTA and that's just naming a few.
Last gen ended with a bang and I'm glad it did as I've moved onto the current gen now (calling 'next-gen' current gen as 3 million of us have these consoles now).
The first year few months is always the calm before the storm. Takes about 8 months to a year until the true next Gen games come.
