A British student Stapled his own Testicles after losing a bet on Fifa 13

A good old Fifa match with stakes very small is good. But that fact just wasn't enough for a 20 year old Leeds University Undergrad to keep him from stapling his testicles as penalty for losing a bet in Fifa 13. (Culture, EA, FIFA 13)

He won a Darwin Award.
HammockGames  +   564d ago

I forget the criteria to actually "win" a Darwin Award. (hilarious books btw)

Does a "winner" have to actually die doing something extraordinarily stupid?

With being maimed qualifying them for a nomination or honorable mention?

Self-castration counts.
HammockGames  +   563d ago
Right - I forgot about the "removing bad genes from the reproductive pool" aspect.

Cheers

An "award" given to people who contribute the most to the evolution of humanity by removing their genes from the gene pool. Sometimes given to people who simply sterilize themselves, but most of the recipiants have ended up dead because of their actions.

Basically, the concept is that people kill/injure themselves to the point where reproduction is no longer possible whilst doing something surrealistically stupid. By insuring that their stupid genes to not spread, they ultimately help humanity and thus recieve an award.

never understood these fifa games, when you get beat by 5+ goals you have to write a letter to the players mum telling her how great her son is and the skills he has on fifa far exceed his own. weird weird men lol

Couldn't it just have been a student and not a British student? Funnier still, isn't Leeds uni one of the tougher ones to gain entry to? Shows academic smarts clearly have no link to common sense.
Pintheshadows  +   564d ago
They don't. I live in Norwich which has the UEA and most of the people there are academically brilliant but they ask things like 'how does a washing machine work?' or 'how do I make a Pot Noodle?'

Beggars belief that they are still alive.

They are nice people though. Just utterly naive towards the real world.

Why? Why would ever be willing to do this to yourself over a match of FIFA13?

So stupid...

If you disagree with this, then I dare you to try and argue that stapling your balls over something so insignificant is not in fact stupid.
Pintheshadows  +   564d ago
You think he'd at least do it over a match of PES. :D

P.S I live in Spain and the people here are crazy for soccer.
Pintheshadows  +   564d ago
Spain, Italy and England seem to have the nuttiest fans.

I was in Italy during Euro 2000 (I think it was the time they beat Holland in the semis) and in this tiny town on the edge of Lake Garda 1000's of fans appeared from knowhere and they had turned over a police car. THEY HAD WON!

Truly a scene I will never forget.

Um uh yeah............

God this is awkward...........

One the one hand, way to keep your word
On the other, you shouldn't have been so stupid to make bet like that, only as a joke

The moral of the story... don't make stupid bets while you're drunk (or sober).
iceman600  +   564d ago
lol what stupidity will white boys do next.
Magnus  +   563d ago
Wow that's all I have to say is wow. Parents must be siblings to have a dumbass kid like that. I can understand shaving your head, dyeing your hair a different color, shaving an eyebrow. But stapling your nut sack wow.
CNCOMICS  +   563d ago
Just saw the video. These guys seem to like to out-bet each other, as his friend was repeatedly saying, "I had to drink my cum."
