Andreas Klebo-Espe describes the new Snap feature for the Xbox One console, allowing gamers to multitask between different functions of the console. This presents some intriguing possibilities.
Very nice....the Activity Feed is a nice touch, I like it, but I have no idea what color that car is. lol
I can see it coming in handy, especially for lengthy RPGs. Toss up a walkthrough on one side, play on another.
This is starting to be unreal. All that the Sony fans can say now, as they have for the past 10 months, is "Our system is a games first machine!" Well, go play your games first, like we've all been doing since Pong. I'll be having a true Next Gen experience come Nov. 22nd
Well to be far it seem Sony fans will have the superior version of most multiplatform games. I don't care I'm buying both.
I'll never notice a slight difference in multiplat games because I won't ever see them side by side in my house. As for exclusive's? So be it. PC games have been trouncing consoles for years. I've never ran out and bought a gaming PC.
Snap is a powerful tool. The fact that both apps can run at the same time is an amazing feature to boot. so you don't have to stay paused while you check out the info on the snap. If there is something big going on in the snap, you can then pause to check it out then go back to the gaming until the next can miss pops up. Really useful
I dunno if racing while watching TV isn't to smart lol.
Yeah that's a good way to blow a race but I just like that you can quickly switch with the snap feature, no way I'd try watching tv while I game.
yea lol, this car looks so bad hope it's not in one of the already low no. of cars.
This is the feature I'm most excited about when it comes to the new UI.
Excellent and very handy feature
"How many times have you changed channels to play a game while waiting for an ad break to end, only to realize 15 minutes later that you missed the end of the show?" Ha. I've done that.
Question to anyone who may know; Can I swap between fully downloaded games? ie, Ryse -to- COD -to- AC4 etc.
If it is digital you can, if it isn't it will prompt you to switch discs.
That was a really good question. That could also be very handy if true.
Νο they already said that you cant do that.
That is not correct, Major Nelson himself said that the digital swapping is still in the system, but you will be prompted to switch discs if it between two physical copies. That way you can play Ryse single player while waiting for BF4 smart match for example. "If you have an incredibly short attention span, you can even switch back and forth between games." http://www.usgamer.net/arti... "Multiplayer games can even be pre-loaded. Say if you fancy swapping between games but don't want to stop playing, then you can literally queue for another while you play your current game." http://www.pocket-lint.com/...
Yes you can but from my understanding only one game at a time will be "suspended" at any moment. So yes you can switch between the two games but you can be in the middle of one. Change to another then go back to the first. You would have to reload from the start.
Hence, why MS wanted ALL games to be downloaded to your HD. Not so they can have full control over whether you can sell your game or not. I'm going all digital and most everyone else will when they realize how easy it is to swap between games.
Sweet! Thanks man. Can't wait for this baby.
This video and the other video showing Kinect is exactly how the X1 should have been shown in May
Snapping a game and looking up (IE) for walk-through guides would be pretty smart.
I'm hoping that Skype can be snapped.
Now there's an idea. Would make online co-op even better.
There are plenty of pictures of Skype snapped next to a movie, but I haven't seen any of gaming with Skype snapped. http://cdn.wpcentral.com/si...
