Battlefield 4 PC Max Settings Ultra Graphics High Frame Rate Campaign Mission 2: Shanghai

Ok so you've seen Battlefield 4 on the PS4 and on the Xbox One but how does it really compare to this footage. Can you spot that there is a huge difference between PC's and next-gen consoles?

No download link, so whats the point to post a Max Settings Ultra Graphics High Frame Rate, on youtube? fail!

0ut1awed3849d ago

Exactly. Youtube only outputs 30fps and their compression on the videos really puts a damper on the crispness of full 1080p+ visuals.

As it stands right now, youtube is NOT a good representation of X1/PS4/PC gameplay.

AO1JMM3849d ago (Edited 3849d ago )

Odd, I have a download link on YouTube. Downloaded version of that video still sucks though. Damn YouTube compression.

cunnilumpkin3849d ago

how can we even call these consoles "next gen" when they look 4 years behind what a mid-spec pc from today can do with ease

no_more_trolling3849d ago

youre so obsessed with consoles though lol
get a hobby bro

HighResHero3849d ago (Edited 3849d ago )

Exactly!

mixelon3849d ago

Hyperbole.

The new consoles (and the current ones) do a pretty damn good job considering the difference in prices, the quietness of the consoles etc.

steve30x3849d ago

I built my gaming PC around quietness and I can play all recent games at maximum settings without it overheating while being dead silent.

gamernova3849d ago

Quietness lol Liquid cooling bro!! :P

mixelon3849d ago

@ the replies.. No shit, Sherlock(s)!

I built my pc around quietness too. My case alone cost a third of the ps4s price because its very quiet. Liquid cooling is also expensive. Powerful PC graphics cards are generally loud too, so you end up paying for sound dampening.

For the price, the consoles cant be beaten for hardware noise/performance/price ratio.

steve30x3849d ago

My GTX680 isn't loud and my parts are inside a Fractal Design R4.

What I'll say is this.

PS4 version looks to be equivalent to 'high' settings on PC with a bit of post process AA, it runs about 50-60FPS @ 1600 x 900.

In order to MATCH that on PC you need a decent quad core nothing too fancy though, and a Radeon 7850 or so, which is like a lower midrange card costing about £110/$130

So PS4 is doing pretty decent, about what I expected going by its specs. Its about equivalent to a modest but reasonable lower midrange gaming PC.

Certainly not 4 years old like you say cunnilumpkin but obviously it isn't going to be beating a machine with a newer £200/$250 video card in it.

PS4 appears to be decent value for the hardware inside the box then.

MadLad3849d ago

C'mon . . . we both know that isn't true.
I am as pro-pc as it gets, but you take things to such overly exaggerated lengths it's ridiculous.
It's comments like this that give the majority of PC gamers a bad rep. And yes, I do see the irony in that what with this being N4G and it's known waving of the Sony flag and the idiocy that comes from that.

FITgamer3849d ago

This video is PC. Off topic much?

xXxSeTTriPxXx3849d ago

I think the Sony camp are more focused on their games looking better, than caring about what actual matters. I will say the PS4 graphics are slightly better (buying an XB1 by the the way) but at the end of the day does games matter more than graphics? I think so and clearly XB1 is leading with first party exclusives over Sony.

Is Killzone enough? Forza, Dead rising 3, Killer instinct, and Ryse. How can any Sony fan deny this is a better first party launch line up? Your just denying logic on this, truly!

I'm an online player mainly. The PS4 is adopting an online infrastructure, like what was available on the X BOX 360. And its not bad way to go at all, but still most of the games are players hosted matches. You still get bad lag, cheating and lag switchers on that type of network.

Microsoft has gone the way of dedicated servers this time. I don't think people fully understand the benefits of having games hosted by a dedicated server.

CGI-Quality3849d ago

You can only claim that exclusive line-up has more. Saying it is "better" is claiming so as fact. You don't even know what the quality of the games are like (something I thought mattered more to Xbox fans as the PS3 continued to get exclusive after exclusive), and even then, it's mostly opinion. That isn't logic, which is absolute, and your view isn't.

mixelon3849d ago

The ps3 always had dedicated servers. As will the ps4 providing the devs use them.

KZ is far from being the only launch title.. The average gamer isn't bothered whether something is platform exclusive or not.

Leading with first party exclusives on launch day doesn't mean much for the upcoming months or years. People aren't that short sighted. Destiny and Infamous are right around the corner. Theres obviously a crazy amount of stuff in the pipeline.

Ravenor3849d ago

The PS3 did not always have dedicated servers, on a number of first party titles it did. The vast majority of third party games used a peer to peer system almost the exact same as XBL.

ballsohard20133849d ago

name every Ps3 game that used dedicated Servers.... If you can name 5, go play the lottery i'll gaurantee you'll win.

Fanboys from both sides talk alot of shit with little or no actual facts to back up their fast talk. As far as which consoles had more exclusive titles name those too because off the top the counts seem to be evenly matched.

dcj05243849d ago

Ballsohard:CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Warhawk
Resistance 2
Killzone 2
MAG
All of the Battlefields (5 games)
Killzone 3

Allright. Where are my millions? I won right?

mixelon3849d ago

Thank you dcj524. From day one a big chunk of our multiplayer has been dedicated server based. Warhawk's server system was great.

I love peoples bizarre revisionist history when it comes to "new" features.

I never said ALL ps3 games had dedicated servers.

How do you know its a better launch line up if you haven't (you know) PLAYED THE GAMES!!!!!

Just saying.

Gridloc3849d ago

First party developers are owned by said company. When did Microsoft buy Crytek and Capcom? Link please....

Battlefield 1, Hardline, BF4 Servers Are Being Taken Offline by Cheaters; EA Silent on Issue

Cheaters & hackers have been causing grief on Battlefield 1, Hardline & BF4 servers, with nonstop DDoS attacks among other things. Unfortunately, EA has remained silent about it.

-Foxtrot777d ago

Course they are silent, they are hoping people flock to 2042

gamesftw250776d ago

Maybe it was a inside job then haha.

jeromeface776d ago

wouldnt be the first time, titanfall 1+2 anyone?

PapaBop776d ago

Not even if they paid me.. EA always do this with old games with less money potential, if this was Ultimate Team, they'd address and sort it faster than stories could spread. Why invest time in their products when they will just dump it in the following years? Then again EA never could see the forest for the trees.

Inverno776d ago

I imagine after those games were given out for free a couple months back through Amazon, anything that makes people go to 2042 is a plus for them

XiNatsuDragnel777d ago

They want people to go on 2042. My theory

excaliburps776d ago

Nah. I think they can't do anything about it or they want to sink money into fixing it.

Pudge102888776d ago (Edited 776d ago )

EA owns all BF servers so yes, they can do something about it but they refuse to because they dont want ppl playing their old games instead of the new one. Its EA we’re talking about here

pr33k33776d ago

if this happened in 2042, they'd have something to say. which is weird, considering battlefield 1 has more players on steam right now.

Pudge102888776d ago

Its so obvious that EA is doing this or hired ppl to mess up the games so that we’d be forced to have just 1 Battlefield working.

FPS_D3TH776d ago

Honestly it’s probably the devs themselves. They did an update to bf4 way back that kinda made assault rifles doo doo in hopes that people would flock to BF1 cuz BF4 was too perfect

There's a bunch of great shooters on gamepass; both legacy and new.

A recommendation I have is a work in progress preview title called Anacrusis. It's a lot of fun, and has a cool aesthetic.
