One of the toughest parts about making a soccer/football game for the world is trying to find the exact control scheme and natural flow to the sport through a single controller. It's a difficult task that hasn't been 100% successful over the years between FIFA and Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer titles. Don't get me wrong, there have been moments of greatness in this area, especially on the PES side of the tracks. EA has completely changed how they do things with FIFA, made it better and implemented it nearly flawlessly.
Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Entire shelves filled with decade-old FIFA and PES games spread across a dozen formats. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."
