Junkie Monkeys: Super Ubie Land was originally supposed to release on August 13th on PC. After a few updates, Notion Games has finally released their game!
Robyn at 'Ourcade Games' writes: Highly lauded and awarded, Notion Games LLC founder Andrew Augustin is on the precipice of becoming a household name within the walls of gaming. He was named one of Forbes’ 2015 30 under 30, gracing the pages of publications like Black Enterprise, The Source, and Pure Nintendo. With a game currently generating major buzz on Steam, he’s come quite a way from playing Super Mario Bros. 3 in an Austin, TX McDonald’s.
A comprehensive list of upcoming Wii U eShop indie titles.
I've been keeping an eye on a lot of these games for what seems like forever now. I received quite a lot of eShop giftcards for Christmas, and though I usually wait for big sales to buy stuff on PSN/the eShop, I'll probably give in and buy a few of these. It's the least I can do for those brave enough to launch a console-exclusive title on the Wii U.
It's too bad that Shovel Knight was delayed so many times, but at least it's (fingers crossed) finally going to launch in March. I'm also pretty annoyed over the Another Castle info found in the article. I backed that game on Kickstarter with a June release window, and now it seems as if the developer is specifically trying to avoid sticking with his original promise. I understand that Kickstarters are famous for horrible delays, but this title had a functioning beta and work seemed to be progressing along well.
Junkie Monkeys: Recently I had a very long discussion with a friend of mine who happens to be a game developer. We started discussing the downward trend in video game difficulty and why certain reviewers point out extreme difficulty as a negative.
It's not. Metal Gear Rising's difficulty made me rage like an angry wasp, but that game was still friggin' good. If the game is too difficult for you, it's your fault, not the game's fault.
We live a gaming era of instant gratification, people want to end the game when they want without the effort but this also cause the game become stale and its traded in before the first month is up. Microwave gaming at it's finest....
I love difficult games like demon souls cause they give you a challenge to see if you are the best.
Well there's skill based hard like a demons soul which I love. Or theres poor design hard like bad camera, poor lock on, bad control scheme, things like that. That kind of hard can get so frustrating that it is definitely a con.
