A SimCity Update...And Something For Your Trouble

Maxis' SVP Lucy Bradshaw gives an update on the status of the SimCity serves, apologies and promises something for the troubles the game has caused.

Nothing they can give us could really justify the metaphorical raping they've given us with this game, shy of maybe an offline patch.

Funny enough, it will probably just be some future DLC they took out of the finished game to begin with.

I don't want an apology that your servers were inadequate. I want an apology that you're screwing over your loyal fans with this always online drm bullsh*t.

So, it's not JUST the DRM. Or the microtransactions. Or the DLC. Or the constant release of games that aren't ready. It's all of these things together that make me hate this company, this game and any other company or game that follows suit. This generation has NOT gotten me excited for next gen with these kinds of business practices to look forward to.
