General Manager of EA Mobile Tony Lay on Real Racing 3, freemium and Time Shifted Multiplayer

At the recent launch event for Real Racing 3, Stevivor's Leo Stevenson got the chance to sit down with Tony Lay, the General Manager of EA Mobile (pictured on the left, with Rob Murray of Firemonkeys).

Lay was able to shed some light on the game including the newly adopted freemium model, Time Shifted Multiplayer and the thrill of including local tracks in the game.

EA's Australian Studio Hit By Massive Layoffs

EA has begun a massive round of layoffs at its development studio FireMonkeys in Melbourne.
FireMonkeys, which was created in 2012 after EA merged IronMonkey Studios and FireMint, is one of the largest development houses in Australia. Focused exclusively on mobile development, the company is responsible for making Real Racing 3, as well as The Sims: Freeplay and Need for Speed: No Limits.

Real Racing 3 qualification opens for McLaren Shadow Project

The mobile round of the qualification time trials for the McLaren Shadow Project is now open.

Using EA’s Real Racing 3, entrants can take part in one of three time trials in August, September, and October this year.
