I am really looking forward to this standalone version of DayZ. With all of the work that is going into optimizing the engine and stream lining the actual game elements, this title will be leagues ahead of 'The War Z' and it already is, even as a mod that is rampant with hackers etc. It is much more of a sim than Hammerpoint's arcady offering and that really appeals to me. Rocket and his team IMO are taking this game much more seriously. They are more interested in making a great game, instead of making lots of money which is a proven fact in that they have turned down multiple offers from huge publishing companies. I have utmost respect for him and his squad. A true professional who just wants to make a great game for gamers. A rare businessman and we need more like him. Period.

WarZ's staff who have repeatedly acted like a bunch of unprofessional college douche-bags and have proven time and time again that they are simply interested in how much money they can rake in by duping the public with untrue statements and claims and by releasing a rushed subpar game just to be able to beat DayZ Standalone to market. ( yes yes its still in alpha, I know)....and I know it doesn't matter who was 'first' with this mmo style of game; it should be a non issue as the proof is in the game. IMO their game is of a different style, more arcady with a bunch of annoying children. Lies and such aside, the fact remains that the Warz engine is shitty and cant hold a candle to the vast open expanses of the Arma engine. They can streamline it all they want but it wont ever be up to snuff in comparison.
Hammerpoint repeatedly swear on forum post replies, and actually have the audacity to call gamers "faggots", (gamers, I might add, who have fucking payed their hard earned cash to this ignorant prick!!!) and IMO these are entirely unacceptable business practices for a supposed "professional" company, and it sums up Sergi Dickface and his team. Wholly unprofessional twats who will undoubtedly put counting their bankroll ahead of making a solid game.
Not to mention I might as well log into xbox live if I want some snot-nosed kid screaming profanities in my ear every five seconds. (I have played Warz first hand and IMO it is shitty in comparison) Though I shudder to think that DayZ standalone will also be rife with morons, I imagine this is the unavoidable side of MMO's. So be it; though I do find solace in the fact that the only redeeming factor of WarZ's existence is that Warz will be there to suck up some of said morons and will keep the droves of idiots from ruining DayZ standalone entirely.

I was excited for, and close to purchasing WarZ but am I ever glad I waited. I waited because the more I found out about Hammerpoints practices, ethics, and their game as a whole, the more I mistrusted their business model and I came to despise them and their offering.

I may have spent far too much of my time following every detail I can get my hands on over these two titles through forums and articles; but it has given me great insight into what each company stands for. Even if Hammerpoint produce the most amazing, revolutionary gaming experience ever to grace this earth, Sergi and his Hammerpoint fucktards will not see one red cent of my money. Not now, not later, not ever. Jackasses.

Bohemia can suck it with their Day Z cash-ins. So nice that they did a bait and switch before Day Z hit PS5.
