gta 5, goty, gotg, it's not up for debate, we have a clear winner

iamnsuperman3883d ago (Edited 3883d ago )

I completely disagree. GTA V is one of the best GTA games but it isn't quite GOTY material for me. It has some issues with its story (I personally do not think it is told very well and it is all over the place at times) and some other little issues. Sure it is a wonderful open world game that is extremely fun to play but it hasn't given me that bottom of your stomach wow fealing that The Last of Us gave me. It is one of the best games this generation but not the best game. Nor is it GOTY

We have yet to see the multiplayer which could change things but only if it totally revamps how multiplayer is played (we haven't really seen or heard anything about it)

Im playing GTA V, and its an awesome entertaining game, but then again, even if its a good contender for GOTY, my pick would be

The Last of Us

lnvisibleMan3883d ago (Edited 3883d ago )

GOTY. Who cares its just a label it doesn't add or take away from a already brillant game. Why should a small comittee dictate its self worth.

I will be watching VGA not for the awards but to see what next gen game Naughty Dog are bringing to the table.

I really love this game, but I wouldn't go as far as to call it the greatest game ever.

In my opinion it is among the greatest games, in which there are many.

No game can be considered the greatest game of all time because we all have different tastes.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis15d ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

CrimsonWing6916d ago

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

Profchaos16d ago

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

Demetrius16d ago

Ikr mfs that greedy it's ridiculous

andy8516d ago

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

Demetrius16d ago

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
