Dark Souls First-Person Mod Reminds Me Why Skyrim's Combat Sucked

Everyone knows that From Software's Dark Souls is a third-person action RPG. However, a new video allows us to see what a first-person version of the game would be like. The answer: pretty terrible.

I don't know, increase the camera's viewing angle and it just might work. Might have to slow down movement speeds for everything so rolling works without becoming nauseating and I think it would be a winner.

The article questions what first person does close up combat well, they need to play Dark Messiah on the PC. Even for how long its been out its still some the best first person combat.

I thought Skyrims combat was fun, the kill shots, arrows and magic were very well done imo

My god skyrims combat was terrible, not once did i ever feel like i was making contact when i swung a weapon in that game. Very floaty feel to those games imo.

The difference between your opinions is down to how you played the game. If you played as a melee character you'd have bad combat experiences but as a range character the combat was pretty good.

I guess, too bad for me i like melee combat. Does that mean its my fault that i thought it had terrible combat? nah. So then it must have good solid flowing combat? no. Because it does not imo but if i ever gave it another chance i will take your word for it and go ranged.

Skyrim was basically 2 arms swinging around for hours from beginning to end. I couldn't never get into this game completely.
