New UK IP’s encouraged with £25,000 development fund

UK developers have one week left to apply for up to £25,000 from the University of Abertay Dundee’s Prototype Fund.

The fund has been set up for existing companies that have already released games, but are looking to create a new IP and need funding to reduce the business risk.

Especially local councils. We've been talking to a team based in Liverpool who says they feel let down by local funding and support in what is a huge hot spot for development talent. It all starts at home...

Its crazy especially when our governments want more people doing high skilled jobs. They are pushing more children to learn programming in general but there is no support for when they have finished learning. We might ended up just developing the talent pool for other countries to benefit from.

I do feel a lot of local councils are just all over the place when it come to allocating funding.
