I tried to forget about the PS4, i swear i did. It keeps haunting my dreams. I went and got a Wii U and while playing i keep hearing voices of Jack Tretten and Phil Harrison. I know crazy right cause phil no longer works for Sony. He works for MS. Oh shit! I Just have it face it, with the new PS4 and 720, it will be hard to ignore them. :'(

http://www.youtube.com/watc... this is reason enough to choose a Wii U over a PS4 or neXbox. Plus, once you also see Super Smash Bros. 4, Bayonetta 2, Fire Emblem X Shin Megami Tensei, Retro Studios' next game, Mario Galaxy 3 (trust me, it'll look phenomenal), Zelda in HD, Mario Kart HD, ect, the Wii U is gonna be a pretty damn enticing console with some damn good games.

Article almost had me for a second there. If only it wasn't so poorly written...

MorfiTM4062d ago

IMO this article is poorly written and doesn't encourage me to think about buying Wii U. Especially when Nintendo is non-existent in my country whereas Sony and Microsoft are visible everywhere.

1upgamer994062d ago

What country is that? Sony I can see, but Microsoft?

MorfiTM4062d ago

A small country in Central Europe called Poland :D

I want to get a Wii U so badly but I'm really excited for the PS4. E3 will show me which one would take my money first.

dedicatedtogamers4062d ago (Edited 4062d ago )

WiiU is aimed at die-hard Nintendo-only gamers. If you thought the Gamecube was enough and you didn't see the need for a PS2 or Xbox, go ahead and get a WiiU. Otherwise, you're going to be missing out on a lot of next-gen titles. 3rd party support for the thing is already drying up, so unless you're content with a handful of 1st partg games per year, get the WiiU when it is cheaper and let the game library grow.

Why can't people in today's age not enjoy both? I got a Wii U so that I can enjoy the 1st and 2nd party Nintendo AAA titles first and foremost. If I want to play a multiplat game I have my 360 or heck I can play it on my PC where it will be better anyways..

I just don't understand this narrow stance on videogaming where you are only allowed to choose one platform to support and that's it. This isn't war people. Anybody out there who calls themselves a "hardcore" gamer should be actually living up to that name by owning and utilizing more than one game console. You can't be hardcore if you are so narrow minded to limit your gaming opportunities by only seeing 1/3 of the pie.

dedicatedtogamers4062d ago

I never said people can't enjoy both. If you would read the article title, it says "forget 720 and PS4". Okay, and I'm simply pointing out that if you forget 720 and PS4, you'll miss out on the majority of next-gen third party games

Neonridr4062d ago

dedicatedtogamers: sorry that wasn't directed directly at you. Just in general.

Tito084062d ago (Edited 4062d ago )

Well, in my case, I only have a PS3, I don't have 360 anymore. Plus I never felt like I'm missing out on anything in regards to Nintendo & their exclusive games. Plus you can't label a hardcore gamer based on having multiple devices, label him based on the games he plays.

Just because there are people that prefer to game on one console doesn't mean they're narrow minded. Whether or not people buy one or more platforms, that's their problem, deal with it, games defines the player, not the multiple platforms.

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.

Wii U games that still haven't been ported to Switch

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga19d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

Profchaos19d ago

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas19d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

repsahj19d ago

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Chocoburger19d ago

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.

Nintendo's Massacre Of The 3DS And Wii U Is Finally Complete, Regrettably

Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
