Steam has launched a new programmed called “Early Access”, where Steam community involved games are available to play while in Beta. You can either play a free game, or purchase one with money. This is not the same as a pre purchase, with Early Access when you buy the game you get full access to it in its current playable state. Discretion is encouraged on purchasing a game that is in Beta.
This article explains how to link your Steam and PlayStation Networks accounts, which is becoming a must for Helldivers 2.
Save the quarters and blast everything to oblivion at home!
Steam is changing its refund policy, but you probably won’t be affected
Should have happened a long time ago. People wanting refunds after 50 hours in game.
Daily reminder that 'TheGamer' is a corporate-generated, anti-gamer, anti-consumer, clickbait web site. They are mostly A.I. generated articles that villainize gamers. They provide nothing positive and actively try to provoke and divide the community through extreme view points and politics. Do not give them any clicks.
Only scumbags? As if people don't play their games on console put in the most amount of hours and return it to GameStop and trade it in for another game. But also how many people are actually do this? And what games have been allowed to be refunded?
i dont like this .. ur paying to play a beta unfinshed game... even if its $1 its still a rip off.. it should be freeeee!!
This is mildly kickstarter-ish. I don't like the idea of paying for a demo though. Slippery slope
To the people complaining about this already, you're completely missing the point of this. You're not paying for a demo, you're pre-purchasing the game to get it at its current state of development.
What you're doing by purchasing an Early Access game is supporting the developers who likely don't have much in the way of outside funding; giving them direct feedback in order to make the game better; plus you get to play the game early.
Nice
Can I have early access to Half-Life 3?
