And I feel that much older on this day.

camel_toad4109d ago (Edited 4109d ago )

Meeee too.

So many childhood hours dumped into contra. Good times.

guitarded774109d ago

We're not old... we're seasoned veterans :D

I played so much Contra with friends in the arcade and on NES. One of the best two player experiences of that era.

SaiyanFury4109d ago

I'm 34 and I'm in the best shape I've been in my life so I certainly don't feel old, haha. That said, I have the game on my SD console setup with my original NES and I play it frequently. I love how the game never gets old. Sometimes I play it here on my laptop via emulation.

ZeroX98764109d ago

I`m still playing it regularly on my NES. looks like crap on my hdtv, but feels great with the real console.

morkendo234109d ago (Edited 4109d ago )

ashame Konami or Nintendo not willing to make 25th Anniversity game for wii-U or Contra Game PERIOD for wii-U......

with that being said: i feel older as well lol

WII-U could really capitalize on Contra,battle toads,streets of rage,strider,bad guys,clay fighter,G-darius,Gradius,R-typ e so forth.
why wish all this when we can protest to Nintendo.

Venoxn4g4109d ago

I would love to see at least hard corps: uprising on Wii U eshop or/and new Contras for 3ds & Wii U .. you never know :) maybe they will :)

Venoxn4g4109d ago

I've been trying to find a copy of this game in some of the local retro gaming stores, but I can't seem to find one where the label on the cartridge is in good condition.

NintendoLegend4109d ago

Hm. I have an extra copy in excellent shape, if you'd like to email and discuss further: thenintendolegend[at]gmail[dot ]com

A Matter Of Trust: What The Game Industry Should Do To Win Gamers Back

Skewed and Reviewed have written an Opinion Piece covering issues in the gaming industry, how current issues were issues years ago, and what can be done to help restore consumer trust.

anast3d ago

Nothing. It's up to the gamers to stop consuming content from companies that they don't agree with.

Garethvk3d ago

How do you know if you agree with it or not unless you play it? Which without conventions forces gamers to rely on trailers. Perhaps Demos should be made more frequently. But companies need to do better as well.

anast3d ago

Wait until release. Watch Gameplay. Exercise patience.

Garethvk3d ago

But is that not what they have now? Tons of gameplay or are you talking about watching actual gamers play it versus the trailers and streams? The big issue is that some companies pay streamers and influencers and they create content but for me; that is hardly a fair, unbiased, and factual look at a game.

1nsomniac3d ago

Get rid of the suits in the industry and job done!!

Garethvk3d ago

They usually are attached to the money sadly. It would be nice to have gamers in charge but you have so much money invested that business people are needed. Hence the issue; you need people who know business but are also gamers who know have an eye to the community. It sounds simple in theory that if you give gamers quality games that they want to play; money will be made. But that is not always so.
