I freely admit there are great ideas and stories behind many kickstarters and there will be many good products to come from kickstarter. However, I caution gamers, because unlike the many I am not convinced that kickstarter is a good direction for our industry and more importantly the consumer to continue to back as it is.
OVERRIDER is a new sci-fi roguelite about hoverboarding and smashing robots, and there's a Kickstarter campaign to help get it funded.
Cinnabunny and Time is Honey are currently up to be crowdfunded on Kickstarter right now. They're both adorable.
A Kickstarter campaign for Scrylight, an AR game that lets players hunt ghosts, is launching in October.
I recently invested in the Gamestick on the Kickstarter project (my 1st one) and it's always a good idea to read the rules and go in with your eyes wide open. Even more importantly, you should check the background history of the products developers. If they don't have a good background in the items industry, it may be safer to walk away or look elsewhere. Gamestick however, seemed to fulfil all these areas so I was quite a happy bunny.
