Haha, even Pachter has changed his tone..lol. He said they will sell out of every unit they make. He estimated 3.6 million they were able to produce.

He is right for once on one thing though: Wii U will sell out!! :P

I see a pile of shit wearing a red tie.

BattleAxe4189d ago

Its obvious, he's talking about himself while he's looking in the mirror.

dirthurts4189d ago

It's obviously not obvious if I'm asking.
You're still making no points.
He's making valid observations of the market, which I mostly agree with. I'd put money on everything he said in this particular video.

Deku-Johnny4189d ago

Because Pachter is an idiot. Nearly everything he says has no evidence to back it up and ends up being wrong. He's a joke.

dirthurts4189d ago

I think you're missing the point.
He's an Analyst. That's what he does. It's conjecture. There isn't meant to be evidence. If you want evidence read a science journal. If you want predictions based on experience, look to this guy. Predictions are just that, predictions. Obviously, they're often wrong.

jmc88884188d ago

Evidence based on experience? You've got to be kidding me.

Analysts try to forecast the future using limited information, statistical tricks, and pull it out of your butt guesses.

They are good at lying, and making it believable...even so much that many believe what they say.

But ultimately, they are just about always wrong, because they are clueless.

Show me a wall street guy that gets it right on anything without it being a lucky clock is right twice a day guess and out of 100 people guessing one would be close enough to say 'this guy got it right', and I'll show you a guy that Wall Street still hasn't seen.

It is obvious, just some people believe the tricks work. Some people believe in 'confidence rates' and statistical modelling. Some people believe that the best way to know the future is to copy the past (actually that's the worst way). Some people believe that a guy who doesn't actually take the time to to figure it out, and has crappy journalist skills, and makes wild guesses with nothing real based on them, is just that a moron.

Actually analysts are supposed to analyze what's going on and be right. They're paid to be right. Which means for Wall Street they are wasting money on.....everyone because they aren't right, ever.

There's different types of predictions and different methods for predicting. Pachter just like almost every analyst uses the wrong methodology. You have to know the present trends and how the human mind works to have a shot to predict the future.

That's why in WWII you had guys like Gen. McArthur who had such lower casualties amongst his men, he knew how to predict the right way. Pachter would of been one of those dumb generals who led people into a coffin. Now he just makes alot of money like other idiots being wrong all the time.

Some people don't know the difference. Some people do. Some people are fooled by title and experience. While others actually look at what he actually does.

YoungPlex4189d ago

... What? He completely changed what he said last time, the numbers keep going up! lol This guy is so full of it, why do I even bother? I'll be picking mine up tomorrow!

Zelda Replay: Majora's Mask

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Is Ocarina of Time as legendary as I remembered it? For the most part, yes. In spite of a handful of missteps — a few obtuse puzzles, some tedious backtracking, and a clunky stealth sequence — I don't believe the last 23 years have been unkind to it. Ocarina remains a brilliant example of the medium, a landmark game that shaped the future of its own franchise and 3D gaming in general. After more than two decades it retains its inventive dungeon design, challenging puzzles, dynamic combat, wistful storyline, unforgettable music, and empowering open-air freedom. I feel confident calling it one of the greatest games of the fifth generation, even if I'm no longer prepared to list it among the five best games ever made."

Pure unadulterated fun. They don't make them like this anymore...especially not the triple A industry.

Back when video rental was a thing, I rented out Majoria's Mask, I never finished it though. I did buy the 3DS version before the eshop shutdown, so maybe one day I'll finally play through the whole thing, it's amazing how well these games hold up though. I briefly played Ocarina of Time for a while and it was really fun.

Wii U games that still haven't been ported to Switch

The Nintendo Switch is potentially nearing its lifespan, and several Wii U games haven't found their way over as ports yet.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Cacabunga16d ago

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

Profchaos16d ago

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Stevonidas16d ago

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

repsahj16d ago

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Chocoburger16d ago

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.

Nintendo's Massacre Of The 3DS And Wii U Is Finally Complete, Regrettably

Hanzala from eXputer: "The cruel hammer of Nintendo has fallen. Farewell, 3DS and Wii U, you surely brightened my life and many others; you won't be forgotten."
