Full Auto 2: Battlelines Interview

Last February, developer Pseudo Interactive and publisher Sega released Full Auto for the Xbox 360, a car combat title that got some mixed reviews. In a bit of a surprising movie, Pseudo and Sega decided to charge ahead with a full fledged sequel, Full Auto 2: Battlelines, that will be an exclusive launch title for Sony's PS3 console this fall. FiringSquad got more details on Full Auto 2 from Sega producer Mike Gallo.

IT LOOKS BETTER ON 360 FROM THE SCREEN SHOTS ON THAT SITE ....

I HAVE THE GAME ON MY 360 ITS OK NOTHING TO BLAB ABOUT , PERSONELY I LIKED MOTO GP 06 MORE THAN THIS THAT WAS KICKING IT ON XBL OR EVEN BURN OUT REVENGE WAS AMAZING ON XBL

THAMMER16475d ago

It was fun for 3 days I traded it in for GRAW.

His comments about destructible environments and listening to what gamers didn't like about the Xbox 360 version are encouraging, but I'll believe it when I play this at the demopods. I am still very sceptical, but the screens look pretty good. There's a weird ghosting effect on a couple of the images, does anyone else see that?

THAMMER16475d ago

I see the same thing on MGS4 screens too. And wark hawk as well.

It's going from bad (360 part 1) to worse on the PS

Glad they cut it on 360. Great new exclusive for PS guys. That'll compete with Gears of War and Forza 2 for sure!

andy capps6475d ago (Edited 6475d ago )

Comparing A-list, 2nd generation titles from one console to B or C-list, launch titles oon another console will never be a competition. If you wanted to compare those two to MGS4, new Devil May Cry, or launch titles such as Warhawk, Resistance: FOM, or Motorstorm that would be more applicable. But wait, nevermind, you comment on every PS3 thread with a negative comment so I'm just wasting my time typing this out. Or we could just compare numbers from Gears of War and God of War 2 on PS2 when it is released...

Oh, and I wish Xbox 360 had kept this, but Full Auto 3 will probably be multiplatform so you'll get to enjoy it again too.

Andy, this article is about Full Auto 2. So it's normal to compare it to CHristmas 360 system sellers. For example a racing game (although more simulation) like Forza 2.

I shouldn't have to get Motorstorm overhere why should I? It's about Full Auto 2.

But allright, you have it your way. Motorstorm. Nowhere near the CGI shown @ E3 2005. The sparks look like PS2 ingame, as is the blur to coverup the bad textures of the mountains. Compared to Forza 2 or PGR3 it's nowhere. MGS4 is no launch title. Christmas is the main selling time of the year. Full Auto 2 will be a launch title though. But it won't really sell systems like this

andy capps6475d ago

I don't think that Sony is even planning on it being a system seller. The new trailer that was released last week of Motorstorm looks virtually identical to the CGI trailer from last year. The sparks are not that impressive for me, but look the same as what's in both of the Full Auto games. Hopefully it's not the direction that developers will go and over use them, like the bloom effects that they're doing now. I think the blur is way overused as well, but I think the textures look great in it. I'm hoping that they can get more of an individual particle look for the mud when it's released. It's definitely getting better looking though.

Since you brought up PGR3, the graphics that you speak so highly of are not even native 720p, they're around 500 something I believe and then upscaled to 720p by the console. I honestly wasn't that impressed with PGR3, but I know a lot of people were. Forza 2 looks like it'll be nice and will sell a lot, but so will Gran Turismo for PS3.

I'm out for the weekend, peace!

Happy Birthday PlayStation 3 - Three Years of Exclusives, Blu-ray & Court Orders

As amazing as it may seem given Sony Computer Entertainment's track record with the PlayStation franchise, the PlayStation 3 has undoubtedly been the outside bet for the current-generation since it's launch back in March 2007. Arriving late in Europe, with successful Japanese and North American launches already under its belt, an incredibly high price-tag and it's underdog status has seen the PlayStation 3 achieving slow but consistent growth across the continent in the ensuing three years.

Hey GR8 1 doesn't it speak volums when the PS3 is turning 3 and the 360 is gonna be 5 that the Playstation is only a few million in sales behind xbox... Given the same amount of time out on shelves the Playstation 3 will be far a head of the 360, and currently the only people buying 360's are those who are rebuying it, yes it still counts for sales, but the number of people actually using it isn't growing, but PS3's is, you fail every time you comment to the point that people can't even take any bubbles away from you any more... Take a break from commenting, learn a thing or two, Log on with a new name and try again.

I got my PS3 just after launch and had some great times playing some amazing games. Been one of the best things I have ever bought.
So much has happened in 3 years, can't wait to see what happens in the next 3 years.

kevco335147d ago (Edited 5147d ago )

Every console has ups and downs during it's lifespan, and the PS3 is no different. But as avengers1978 is saying in the Open Zone (---->), the PS3 launch around eighteen months after the 360 in Europe, and is only just lagging behind. I've got every console in this and most generations, and while I personally prefer the 360 this time around, there's no denying the PS3 is doing some great things... (despite the legal issues!)

And let's not forget - three years into the original Xbox's life and the Xbox 360 was already on shop shelves!

I love my PS3 :)

But then again, I love my Xbox 360 and Wii!!!
