7.5? You gotta be kidding me

The first and probably last mediocre/bad review we'll see given the amount of extremely positive reviews. Maybe the reviewer is more into games like angry birds.

Don't justify the reviewer by clicking.

hulk_bash19874238d ago

Why? How would you know if it's a justifiable score if you don't read it?

Buy your pitchforks and torches 'ere! :D :P
'er...rather, your personalized Borderlands weapon to bring justice!

From the article:
"The shooting still lags behind other first-person frontrunners, and combat too often feels like an afterthought in Borderlands 2's enormous world."

"Borderlands 2 is unquestionably a better game than Borderlands. The new emphasis on elemental weapons and dismemberment make for better combat scenarios, and the constant character improvement is a great push forward for players looking for long-term rewards.(--->) But sticking around for those payoffs requires more patience than I'd hoped.(<---)"

"There's a sense of a constant grind. The basic gunplay that underpins Borderlands 2 is adequate to get things done. But it's nowhere near the responsiveness and encounter design of more dedicated shooters. The left-trigger aiming mechanic is paired with very aggressive auto-aim, so hitting things isn't a problem — it's just not very exciting. This makes clearing areas devolve into a same-y sort of job, rather than something fun."

You can turn that off I believe, if not on consoles than I am sorry that something is THAT severe aaand a game is only a (boring) grind when the player doesn't enjoy the content in front of them.

Playing the game now, I seriously get a HUGE wave of nostalgia, but also a sense of everything works flawlessly :) and I'm seeing myself always going "oooh, what's that!?" :P

I was thinking of Mad Max. That V8 felt really good to drive around in, especially with upgrades.

No one liked the Batmobile in Arkham Knight. Top 10?

toxic-inferno466d ago

I don't know... It was a strange addition to the game, and the parts of the game where you had to fight in it were tedious. But driving it around Gotham felt brilliant.
