Battlefield: Hardline Is So Similar To BF4 It Even Has The Same Bugs

Honestly, the title makes it seem a lot funnier that it actually is. When I read what the (single) bug mentioned was, it was a bit of a let down lol.

Off topic, but I never noticed the issue since i prefer playing in fullscreen borderless windows anyways. Makes Alt tabbing and switching to windows on other monitors 10x faster.

I'm sure the games share much bigger bugs than this one.

At least the MP in CoD feels different between each game so far. Hardline feels exactly the same and if I woukd turn off the HUD and play on a training ground I wouldn't be able to know what is BF4 and what is Hardline.

I'm not educated in the subject, but could frostbite 3 be buggy? NFS: rivals was buggy a little bit, BF4 launched bad and although I didn't have many troubles past the first month lots did, and now BF:H is having the same bugs. 3 different developers all having troubles.

Some engines are more prone to bugs than others because of how they are coded. Best example is the engine Bethesda used for Fallout 3, New Vegas and Skyrim.

Frostbite 3 is just only an upgraded version of Frostbite 2 and not really a new engine. BF3 already had it's fair share of issues. If you don't fix issues or don't carry the fix over you are bound to get them again.

To be fair these seems more like an EA issue since Visceral Games are heading up this game. The more I hear of this game the more I can't help but think this is just a reskinned mod. Still DICE and EA shouldn't have released BF4 in the state it was in (considering a developer's integrity is so vital) but this seems like EA just giving BF4 to another developer to mod

I have the Beta. It plays like a different game it feels more... like Payday meets Battlefield. It shoots like Call of Duty with slight bullet drop. Has toned down Battlefield destruction and vehicles. Overall it may not be able to win over the hard core Battlefield Veterans.

I don't see why they are getting Visceral Games to do this game.

Look at the games they've made, nothing screams "First person shooter multiplayer developers".

I'd rather the team doing this was working on the Star Wars game or even working on a Dead Space reboot/re-telling

Hopefully it doesn't do well. Games like Destiny, Evolve, and Rainbow Six Siege are trying hard to innovate the genre while games like COD and BF reap all the sales. My hope is this-gen we see the end of COD and BF as they are both franchises that sadly have become nothin more but huge money pits. I remember just a few short years ago BF and COD were freakin awesome, but greed got in the way of making great games.... So now we get garbage like this.
Honestly after seeing Rainbow Six Siege how could anyone still be excited for this crap?

Think I'll be skipping Hardline at launch then. There's plenty of great games coming out the last 4 months of the year. I just wish developers could be given more time and give us the best game possible 'cause then we know they care to give us a great product, or if it's poor we still know they've tried. Battlefield 4 launch was a disaster and big games like Battlefield should run perfectly, especially considering the money that's spent on making it. Learn from your mistakes EA!

I actually feel bad for Visceral. Back in the day they were extremely innovative with Dead Space. Then...they had to make it more and more an action game like Mass Effect...and less of an original horror game.

Now, while their counterparts are busy atactivision using some of that innovation to spruce up CoD, they r stuck making a Battlefield annualization. Damn. Id rather hav a true horror infused dead space reboot.

AND, I wouldnt b so down on DICE and their baby, but I read an article today that blew my mind and made me wonder if they hav lost their vision. It stated that they couldn't put their finger on why ppl loved bad company so much. What? They made the game and dont know? Now I am downright frightened that the Hardline single player will simply be a cops and robbers rehash of 3 & 4.

I knew it of the back... as soon as i seen it on E3, I knew they used the same platform as BF4. I first noticed when you score a kill, the point system is exactly the same. The maps and vehicles change but everything else is basically the same game.

Its made by a different team who used Frostbite engine... If you think they will go over every line of code making sure all bugs that are present in Frostbite engine that was provided to them... you are a dumbass.

Not saying they shouldn't have tried to fix bugs, but the fact that two games made ON THE EXACT SAME ENGINE have same bugs, should not be surprising to anyone who has more then one brain cell and knows how even a little bit about how programming works.
