That trailer seemdex like it was created on.a 15 dollar. Budget. I mean i am a died hard star wars buff, but this was completely lacking. I think disney should hire every one from factor5 to work on.this project. This was bad and the sound was worse(sound like it was from a n64 cart.) I am thrilled that we have a new star wars space fighter but guys, sound off. What are your thoughts on this. I thought it was fan made or not real.

sorry I commented before watching it, my views on the trailer though.

I think they where trying to somewhat capture the orig movies feelings with the ancient CGI but overall it looked pretty disappointing. With that being said it is not gameplay but it does look like they are shaping it to be some kind of Star Fox style jet game. I just pray they keep everything the same with just new graphics i remember the variaty of aircraft in that game from bombing missions to fighting hords of imperial fights that game was the shit!!! Hell it was even awesome on gamecube and looked stunning on gamecube as i remember.

The Rogue Squadron games were God-Tier. I agree Disney should try getting some of those Factor 5 developers on board for this.

why not just port rogue squadron from gamecube, add some trophies and achievements, and be DONE with it.
Look, I love star wars as much as the next guy, but how many times can we play the same game? Tie Fighter, Rebel Assault II, all great games. I don't know what the final product is going to look like, so I'll withhold judgment on the game, but this trailer looks like a polished turd.

I agree with this too. The Rogue Squadron games are unique in their gameplay, there aren't many games out there like them that are good.

Furthermore, the games currently cannot be properly played on an emulator. It would be a shame for these games to fade away, forgotten.

Finally, the games looked freaking stunning for their time, and would look great in HD.

@MajorGecko "Ancient CGI" The original trilogy didn't use any CGI. They used large scale models and miniatures. You know, back when special effects artist how to figure out how to put something on screen. Which in turn gave them creativity, drive and ambition. Rather than today's special effects. Where no one ask how anything gets put on screen. Just use the computer. When I was kid. Kids and adults would marvel at special effects and ask how they were done. That's movie magic. Today, even little kids know modern effects are just computer graphics.

I think they're trying to maintain the look of the original trilogy. I guess he was expecting the opening of ROTS with lens flares and shiny CGI. You know, overdone and lacking any charm.

If you want a space dogfight game just play Star Conflict from the creators of War Thunder. It's pretty damn awesome. I would be very surprised if the Star Wars game is better than Star Conflict, especially since...Area 52 who the f--- are they? Isn't Star Wars a big enough franchise to give to a quality proven developer?
