According to a survey of 30,000 IGN users that was conducted on June 25 and 26, nearly 41% said that they intend on purchasing a PlayStation 4 at launch. So it seems as if the next logical question to ask is: Why?

Because this gen has gone on for 7 years (8 years if you count the Xbox 360's launch in 2005) and people want something new.
I wait a while before investing in a product. Although the console looks great on paper I can't purchase until I've tried it at a friend's house and say "I've got to get one of these."
Price is likely the biggest factor followed by their preference for Sony exclusive games.
