I like not having to buy a console every few years and I think 10 year lifespans are perfect for home consoles. They allow the consoles hardware to be pushed fully and allow prices, over time, to become cheaper for the broader public.
Subliminal messaging.
Right for who?
Kotaku < Garbage
Well I can think of two other companies that said their consoles were next gen and if you need proof just read the article.
Play KILLER 7 and you will understand why.
Well according to Valves business's model all they really have is Steam so if PC gaming goes so do they along with it. Making a game every so many years isn't going to cut it in this days market.
I have bought all systems in the past decade on day one and I have never gotten so much flack as I did for buying my Ps3. Its a shame that most gamers now are tools for their respective consoles PR departments.
The first two games were interesting and subtly nuanced and I don't see Killzone 2 being that different.
This is a very likely possibility. In the future I see a subscription based system, with Wii like games and advertisement support. Madden 09 presented by "some beer company". Sadly I think people who got gaming to where it is will be left in the dust.
It is a shame.
Thats really cool.
Well that interview could have been better. What is with all these nervous supposed gamers giving interviews. If your going to give one be clear with your questions and don't get all giddy its just weird. Adam Sessler I'm looking at you.
So "Best" in this context means graphing a bunch of subjective opinions over time in order to see which group of subjective opinions has a higher percentage. Someone has too much time on their hands.
To say that the cover system is unrealistic is pretty far off base from what I have seen. Comparing it to Rainbow Six is comparing a first person mechanic to a third person mechanic. In Rainbow, while in cover, you see for your character in Killzone you see thru your character. Fail.
Multi platform games cater to the middle ground and will never be as good as they could be. I think Sony has the right approach to investing in first party studios because they get to push the hardware, reap the financial rewards, and make some 3rd party publishers look bad. Just to be clear not all third party games are bad but we all know the ones that are. Exclusives are good for all consoles.
This should have been in the controller day one. Now it will either make the old controller obsolete or 3rd party developers won't utilize it. Either way gamers get shafted.
Games are what you make of them. Some games are being made slightly easier, for example Twilight Princess, to appeal to more people since there is no difficulty setting, but I think you will find that most classics were hard as a way to make up for technical limitations such as size. Harder difficulty means more play time. Many games today like Resistance, DMC4, Uncharted, and MGS4 when played on the hardest difficulty setting require a great amount of patience and skill, but you have to ...
If this is true it just made my day.
All I am going to say is KILLER 7.
