I believe he meant quality of games (seeing as this thread is about the sequel to what many consider a high quality innovative title significant to the PS3), more specifically in terms of holding the most widely recognized Game of the Year... In which case I believe it was:

You have to admit, its easy to see their point of view, I mean the main selling point is that you can either make your own level/game or download others, and the dev gets the cash!
I mean, just imagine how frustrated Microsoft must feel, LBP is such a huge success, and it's almost like MM and Sony just sit back and let the community do the work! (not saying they do, LBP2 shows just how much these guys are working their butts off)

Personally GT5 has been my most anticipated game for the last 3 years... Apart from maybe MGS4 or Uncharted 2, but I haven't had to wait on U2 nearly as long.
That said I can definitely see how a person might not be into it, especially if you don't have a proper wheel (once you try gt5 on a real race wheel, you instantly see where "real driving simulator" comes from).

The screens aren't very telling... Its definitely not LBP 1, but it doesn't look that radically different yet. If you want to get an idea, take a look at the specs that were leaked, the rumor looks pretty genuine, and if you need any confirmation that this will indeed be a much bigger experience than LBP, just think about this:
Players are encouraged to create new game modes rather than simple platformers, i.e. shooters, adventure games, fighting games and even RPG...
Anyone notice the control seat thing in the first picture? It seems to give more credence to the specs released a few days ago, I forget the name but some emphasis was put on a "control seat" of some sort for vehicles and the like that would map controls onto the Dualshock. i.e. rather than hold r1 to pull a lever and thereby accellerate, you could map acceleration to X, R2 trigger, or even sixaxis tilt. Looks great, can't wait to see what new heights MM have brought LBP up to. ...
There are chicks in any sport or game that could kick your ass, no doubt. That said, theres a reason that all olympic records and such are higher/faster/further for the men, its called evolution. Heck, even the superchefs on TV are guys, that can't feel good. :D
