Hmm, not terribly surprised at any of these polls numbers. Not surprised at the even split between the new IPs (1886: The Order versus Quantum Break), and not surprised about Killzone: Shadow Fall's edge over TitanFall.
Although one figure that sticks out, is the fact that people seem to prefer to look of the PS4 controller over the Xbox One controller design, despite the general perception that the new Dualshock 4 is an "ugly looking controller." At least, that...
What you're talking about is the "claw" grip. You shouldn't say "most PS gamers" use claw, because I certainly don't hold my controller that way. I only use my pointer fingers, and I have a feeling most people only use their pointer fingers also (just look at Youtube videos). I don't think you get a good enough grip on the controller using claw.
Furthermore, on every gaming platform, I use my pointer finger to shoot. On PC, I use my pointer...
Yes, I would imagine a lot of Xbox fans switching sides would have trouble using the R1/L1 shoulder buttons for shooters. They'll be like, "What the hell is this weird shit?"
I'm hearing some Playstation diehards claim that there's "zero advantage" to using triggers instead of the shoulder buttons. This just isn't true. I've been playing shooters for decades, on every platform and controller (Xbox, PC, Playstation), and having your trig...
@kneon:
Actually, I've heard from a couple people who have played Call of Duty on both 360 and PS3 that they can shoot faster using the triggers on 360. For example: quick, repeated shots using the FAL in Black Ops 2. Probably because the triggers naturally have less resistance at the actuation point, and is more ergonomic to place your fingers on also.
Personally, I prefer using the L2/R2, so this is a welcome change to me. I've been using the L2/R2 ...
Those people using a mouse adapter on consoles aren't as good as you think. There's a reason they have to use a mouse adapter.
The disagree is from you claiming Ryse was the best looking game of the show.
It looked decent for sure, and is a nice bump up in graphical fidelity from 360 games, but it was nowhere near the most graphically intensive or accomplished game shown at E3. It's an extremely linear, on-rails game, with no sophisticated AI, game logic, or physics to process in the background. In terms of pure graphical detail, the Quantic Dream tech demo, Dark Sorcerer absolutely demolishes it...
The GPU difference is actually going to make as big of a difference as the RAM disparity, if not more. The PS4 GPU is supposed to be capable of 1.84 TFLOPS, while the Xbox One GPU is only 1.2 TFLOPS. That's more than a 50% difference in GPU performance, and that's pretty major.
Combine this GPU superiority with the fact that the Xbox One uses inferior RAM (DDR3) and has a HUGE overhead for its OS and multimedia functions, and you can see how the odds are stacked prett...
Buh, but, but... what about the Infinite Power of the Cloud™?
"INFINITE POWER OF THE CLOUD!"
Digital Foundry explains pretty well in this article how the cloud isn't some magic bullet that will miraculously solve the issue of the weak Xbox One specs:

@RedSoakedSponge: Link?
I have to agree, Microsoft may just pull the rug from underneath all their gamers, and re-implement all those restrictve used-game policies 1-2 years later. Nothing stops them from doing so, and the infrastucture for all these crappy policies is still there. They've invested way too much into this anti-used games scheme to just give up on it, 100% wholesale.
Wait, was a headset bundled with every Xbox 360? Or was it bundled with every Xbox Live Gold subscription?
Or am I confusing this with Xbox 1 (err, the first Xbox)?
Yep, the PS4 GPU is around 50% or more faster than the Xbox One's GPU. That's not even counting the fact that the Xbox One uses inferior, slower DDR3 memory.
And, the rumors that Xbox One is getting down-clocked because of overheating and/or yield issues...
It ain't a charity. But it's a business.
You really think Sony can survive letting Microsoft take all of the Xbox Live Gold revenue (40+ million people essentially giving MS free money every month) without them getting a cut of the action? Sony isn't swimming in cash like MS is, so this is most likely a necessary move by Sony to get their profits up.
Having to pay to play online is bad news. But if you, as a Playstation fan, really care about the long-term survivability of the Playstation brand, wouldn't you think it unwise for Sony to leave money on the table? By not charging for online play all these years, Sony was put in a SEVERE disadvantage in terms of profit generation compared to Microsoft (with 40+ million people giving MS free money every month).
Let's face it: you might not like the fact that PS4 charge...
The best part is that--because of the partnership and support from Bungie for the PS4--it's gonna use all the power of the console available to them, and not be tied down to the lowest common denominator (Xbox One) like other potentially sloppy multiplatform port jobs. That's why the game looked so damn good on PS4.
I've said this for a long time now, ever since the game was announced, that Destiny is one of the games I'm most looking forward to next-gen. I wa...
Are you joking? Sony had so many games, they couldn't even fit half of them into the conference. They only had time to show quick trailers for Killzone Shadow Fall and Infamous Second Son. They couldn't even fit in exclusives like Planetside 2, Daylight, and Warframe.
Oh wow, it's still only $60 bucks? That's awesome. Thanks Microsoft!
The fact that there's ad banners for the Xbox One all over Amazon UK doesn't exactly help matters for the PS4. Lol. Not exactly the fairest picture of which console is going to sell the most this year.
Holy crap, Outlast will be included for free? That's a badass (and terrifying) game! Anyone who's seen the trailers and gameplay footage for it will know what I mean.
