The game has framerate issues on both Xbox One AND PS4.

Industry insider Thuway already leaked this tidbit weeks ago.

Basically, both the Xbox One and PS4 versions are currently suffering from framerate issues, and Infinity Ward are trying to iron them out before launch.
Not surprising, considering the game runs terribly on even high-end PC hardware. Seems like a very ba...
It's depressing how shitty COD's graphics are.
I currently have a Panasonic plasma from ca. 2010-2011. It has pretty good input lag, so gaming is quite responsive on it, but I don't think it is quite as good as my monitor.
I do know that Sony's recent lineup of LED televisions has truly exceptional input lag--even lower than my Panasonic--and are extremely responsive for gaming purposes. Check CNET TV reviews for more info on this matter.
Fyi, I find that enabling QoS algorithms in the router tend to increase gaming lag. Counter-intuitive, but true. That's why I don't buy into a lot of these "gaming routers" that market themselves to "reduce gaming lag via advanced QoS features."
After researching and testing out dozens of different routers, switches, and networking equipment, I'm a firm believer that QoS adds processing overhead, which actually increases the amount of lag you u...
I'll just play all those games in 720p on the Xbox 360. No reason to buy a new system if it isn't even powerful enough to raise the standard resolution.
You mean "fortunately."
*Orders a 5-year supply of microwave popcorn from Costco"
100% fake. Must be a parody image created by NeoGAF or something.
What you're talking about is strategy, not skill. They're two different things.
Of course, no one is arguing that strategy is not important. It's definitely crucial that a player plays intelligently, predicts where opponents are located, and avoid being caught off-guard at an angle.
However, in terms of how overpowered weapons relate to skill required, it is generally considered that less bullets to kill = less skill required to score a kill. This...
Totally agree; I hate MP games that have OP weapons, because it makes the gunfights too easy and random. Noobs with no thumbs can just spray and pray at you, and still kill you. Campers are massively rewarded by OP weapons; they get a huge advantage because OP weapons can drop your ass before you even get a chance to react. Treyarch is a crappy developer overall, but they knew how to balance their weapons in a way that none of them are ridiculously OP, and require some semblance of skill to u...
It's a shame all the original talent of Infinity Ward left and formed Respawn Entertainment. Ever since then, the COD series has been steadily declining in quality.
I'm not a big fan of sci-fi shooters, so Titanfall doesn't interest that much. I just hope someday, Respawn does their take on a modern-day, military FPS, and shows COD how to do it properly.
@GusBricker:
In all honesty, I don't think an HD7770-equivalent GPU has that much potential to unlock.
Forget "passing certification."
How the HELL does a lean feature get implemented in an FPS without the appropriate lean animation in the first place? The FIRST thing any good programmer would ensure is that a lean mechanic (especially one that they hyped the hell out of) isn't overpowered and easily exploited. Infinity Ward made it easy on hackers this time... by building the hacks straight into the game!
I swear, it's like the Infinity Ward...
Hmm, you and I can joke, but Activision really has been loyal partners with Microsoft for many years now. For Microsoft to literally be supporting Activision and Call of Duty's DIRECT COMPETITION (i.e., EA's Titanfall and Battlefield), one must logically assume that Activision can't be totally happy about that.
I started getting suspicious when Microsoft, for the first time in years, allowed EA's Battlefield and Titanfall to be shown at their E3 press conferen...
No shocking news here.
Anyone who's done an ounce of research on the specifications for these next-gen consoles already knew that PS4 has a sizable performance advantage over the Xbox One. First, Battlefield, now Call of Duty. Almost all multiplatform games from now until the end of the generation will bear out this technical advantage.
Good to see a developer being more forthcoming with actual facts and information than some companies (i.e., Activision or Microsoft).
So if we DON'T care about resolution, we should just stick with the PS3 or 360, and never buy any new consoles?
"On a big-screen TV the difference is certainly going to be hard to spot."
Total bullshit. On a big-screen HDTV, that's where the jaggies from a typical 720p image would be most apparent. Not to mention upscaling blur. Since most HDTVs have 1080p native pixel count, we want to have a 1080p image for 1:1 pixel mapping and avoid the ...
It's not just CBOAT, but multiple insiders, reporting that the game currently runs at 720p on the Xbone. For instance, famousmortimor on Twitter started off saying he didn't completely believe this rumor at first, but now more and more people who have played the game are confirming to him that Ghosts is indeed 720p on the Xbone.

Looks surprisingly good considering it's the PS3 version. The PS3 beta looked like absolute trash.
Diehard Xbox fanboys are just pretending they have bad vision and can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p so that they have a somewhat of an excuse for their system having worse graphics.
