Does anyone else find it weird how all these analysts have been predicting that consoles will die soon, but the fact that every new console generation outsells the previous one completely contradicts this analysis?
$100m... to come up with the EXACT same controller from 2005?!
Because even a clockrate of 2.75GHz is a lower number than the 3.2GHz figure of the PS3 and Xbox 360 processors, and it wouldn't look good on a purely PR basis to publicize specs that are even slightly inferior on any metric to last-gen consoles. The average stupid consumer would just be like, "Durr, why is the CPU worse?" upon seeing the lower number. Hence, why Sony has nothing to gain from publicizing said figure.

Lol at the "fairly minimal difference" statement between the Xbox One and PS4. How is 100% greater number of pixels rendered in Call of Duty: Ghosts, and 60% greater in Battlefield 4 considered minimal? Are you too ignorant to acknowledge the massive difference between 1080p and 720p?
Fact of the matter is, PC hardware and console hardware cannot be directly compared. Consoles are fixed, closed architectures, while PC is open-architecture...
They may look better, but Killlzone 3 or Gears of War 3 do not look "poor" by any means, even by today's standards.
Not in consoles. Everyone assumed that the CPUs in these new consoles just ran at a fixed base clockrate.
I really am surprised that journalists from other more "reputable" gaming sites (I use that term loosely), like Gamespot, IGN, or Giantbomb, never call Polygon out for their blatant bias and conflicts of interest. Are they all part of a media pact to not insult each other, or what?
After Jeff Gerstmann got fired because an advertiser got mad at him, you would think he'd be the first guy in line to lambaste Polygon and their shill antics.
It's like their whole website is an elaborate, $750,000+ viral campaign primarily designed to undermine all of Sony's major releases and the PS4 launch, while conversely promoting Xbox. And because the new consoles are launching, their "reputation management stratagems" are kicking into high gear.

Any gamer saw this coming a week ago. I called it last week. I 100% predicted that Polygon would give the Xbox One an 8.0, which is just slightly higher than their review for the PS4.
They're not even trying to hide it anymore. It's like they're just rubbing it in our faces, saying, "Nyah-nyah, so what if we're blatantly biased and funded...

Has it ever occurred to the people at Metacritic that Microsoft having paid them $750k to launch the site may possibly indicate an EXTREME conflict of interest? Instead of counting their reviews as part of the average just because they have a pretty site layout?
