Yeah, it's weird. On top of that, he subtracts engine, tax from HIS own money, but this should be put on the publisher (or at least be split, 50%/50% or how they agree), because they're benefitting from the sales as well. On top of that, he makes it look like he didn't get a cent, but he (and his team) was paid the salary the whole way through, with bonuses and stuff. Probably rent for the office was taken care of as well and licenses/devices too.

Have you guys actually read what was «leaked»? It was SMS messages from 3rd party provider (not from Steam itself) with one-time 2FA codes (that are active for 15 minutes). No Steam account details, access to an account or any of that jazz.

Let me quote official Steam response:
«The leak consisted of older text messages that included one-time codes that were only valid for 15-minute time frames and the phone ...

What a bunch of excuses. There are a ton of open world games that don't have many or any loading screens and they are complex and have complex (even world-altering) events going on. Not only AAA games, like Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher 3, GTA V and so on; even Metal Gear Solid games, old Far Cry, Saints Row, Assassin's Creed, Death Stranding, you name it (although, you can argue that they're not that complex). But even indie games made by a f...

But it was Nintendo, who introduced this game key thingy. So it's 100% their fault.

Personally, i sure hope physical games are here to stay. Proper physical games, not just some key or empty case with download code BS.

I have around 250 PS3 and PS4 games on discs and i can still play them to this day. But i can't play any digital games i bought on PSN due to sanctions and my country being blocked from the network. That was a wakeup call for me. Digital means you can't resell, you don't own anything, your account can be banned or blocked and all...

While i do agree with you on the whole idea (and i do own a PC), i think that:
a) This blatant advertisement will turn more people off;
b) Not everyone likes to build their own PC (cheaper and better; prebuilt PCs have a bad reputation and cost way more), with consoles, you don't have to worry;
c) PC parts will also increase in price;
d) I own mid-tier PC and i can't modern games reliably or with good FPS. Consoles offer b...

Your last 6-ish comments (after around 25 days of silence) are about advertising Steam/steamdeck. Are you ok? Blink twice if Gaben is holding you or your loved ones hostage. I'm genuinely curious.

@Cacabunga
While i have a disc with the game, i was able to find it on a torrent ru tracker with at least 3 people seeding right now and it was downloaded 450+ times.

I wouldn't send a link (so i wouldn't get banned). But, i think, torrent or P2P are probably the last mostly reliable way to find old games no one cares about. I was able to find «Fable» there. Not the Lionhearts' Fable, but very old point-n-click adventure.

Don't preorder any game, for that matter. Why do you need to preorder games? Spoiler alert - you don't, publishers want to get preorder numbers up for investors, but it doesn't benefit you. I would even say, high preorders were the reason for «Release it now and fix it later» mentality among the publishers and we all know how "great" that was.

This Muse AI probably have something similar to Prime Directives of Robocop:
1. Somehow preserve older games
2. Blow away Microsoft CEO
3. "Optimize" development staff
4. *CLASSIFIED* Any attempt to replace a senior officer of Xbox or Microsoft results in shutdown

Personally, i think we should always blame and criticize the management (especially top management; like with EA - every screw up should be blamed on Andrew Wilson and his goons). They're the ones with the power, the ones who have the last say in the matter - whatever is the plot details, gameplay, microtransactions, budget and «It's ok that it's buggy and crashes constantly, release the game ASAP, we'll fix it later».

Harrasement is not ok in my b...

> Xbox brand is now unhinged from the console
And that's not a good thing, IMO. How much money they wasted now on Xbox brand, marketing it and making consoles? That a lot of waste now.

> Why buy a console in the first place?
You know, that's a good question. To me, console games (i mean exclusives here) are the reason to buy the console; to me, they used to be associated with:
- Games that take full advantage of the h...

If they'll go the way of Microsoft, they should expect their console sales to plummet. What's the point in owning a console if every game they have, i can play on PC or other manufacturer consoles? And probably for cheaper too.

Next, if every game is coming to competitors' consoles, they the game have to «fit» into the lowest common denominator. Imagine, some years from now on, Microsoft releases another Xbox Series S that has less memory and worse GPU...
