and a big sack for a loss.
X-COM: Apocalypse anyone?
I just hope MS and Sony take better care in increasing hardware durability. The xbox got the rrod in 5 months and the PS3 fat gets the ylod in 5 years, both are because of poor hardware configurations from both companies.
Quality not racing out the gates with issues!
Trebius, I wouldn't exactly call them lazy. FF13 actually has some of the best cgi this generation. The problem is they took too big of a chance changing things up that they forgot what made the series so good.
In all actuality FF13 is a good game. It reminds me of FF12; A game that you really hate at first because of how different it is, but in time it grows on you.
I'm excited about a FFX hd remake, it is one of the best in the FF series. But one problem I have is if this will postpone FFvs13 even more.
Full blown remakes are good and all but they will also stall future releases of this series.... What I really want is FF15 to focus on what has made this series so good, returning to their roots with a whole new game.
In other words AC3 is going to be a game that goes ignored.
Wow Skyrim is not on the list for pc or 360... I guess some games are good enough to pay for and some games are call of duty.
SE gets angered very easily and needs that extra special treatment. Sure they would make more money going with a established jrpg console like the PS3 or even going multiplatform. But they are a developer who's main satisfaction is having the company by their b@lls.
and has been for years.
FFX PS4 release? FFvs13 PS5 release?
Is it too late to make this game single player and incorporate a turn based strategy making the game look more like a Valkyrie chronicles. That would make it bad@ss.
First person Real Time Strategy Games seem like a horrible idea.
No.
Exclusives actually sell very well on the PS3. It's multi-platform games that sell better on the 360. There's a lot of Sony owners that refuse to buy anything that isn't a PS3 exclusive.
Civilization 5 goty is also 50% off. Hold outs may want to jump on this one.
I've never been a fan of online coop multiplayer. I really like competitive ones, but budding up with some random player annoys me. Even AI non human ones seem out of place in these type of games.
Sony and MS have some different next gen tactics. MS is quick to end support for their xbox as soon as the next one arrives. Sony eases people into it by continuing support for their previous model. That is why MS gains strong footing to start a new gen.
Here is a quote from pirates of silicon valley that sums up why MS is so successful and despised. "You know how you survive? You make people need you. You survive because you make them need what you have. And then they h...
No doubt, MS entered the dark age of pc gaming a few years back..... But this is a positive sign they are moving forward.. They are releasing a pc version of Alan Wake 1, before Alan Wake 2 is released.
Of course I will always wounder, what happened MS? Same as you.... But at least we are moving on from those days now.
Ryudo
That's a twisted view of a game I just got done calling enjoyable.
jrpg's crushed wrpg's for years. No one wants a Mass Effect FF, that would be just ridiculous. FF13's world felt flat in comparison to previous FF titles.... That is what I'm getting at, not the new combat system and not the changes but the things that were left out like towns because the developers said, "that sounds hard".
I don't see Alan Wake on that list.... You wouldn't happen to be trolling now would you?
It's funny that people that loved FF10 hated FF13. They are so similar, FF10 is also a easy, linear game that is mostly cgi. (Not calling these games bad, just saying they are less deep)
If you want exploration and deep game play try FF12. This is one of my personal favorite games of the series by the way. However, everyone hated on it for being so different. So SE went back to the old linear gameplay in FF13.
