The Wii and 360/PS3 are entirely different markets. I didn't see anyone questioning why Assassin's Creed or Mirror's Edge weren't on Wii. Why should it be different with Capcom games?
I also don't see anyone wondering why De Blob and MadWorld aren't on 360/PS3.
IT shows they have faith in the franchise and are committed to it even before they see sales data of RF: Guerilla.
Volition are really becoming a great developer for games that ignore realism and simply focus on the fun, which is great since so many franchises are going for the more gritty style (eg; GTAIV).
The first was a great game but it did have its flaws which Naughty Dog appear to be aware of.
Hopefully Uncharted 2 will be reaching AAA status, good luck to Naughty Dog.
A developer boasted about total destruction and actually DELIVERED.
I was a bit underwhelmed with the destruction in Battlefield: BC, the walls kind of broke as a whole and left static metal frames in place.
Red Faction 3 should hopefully be awesome when it comes in June.
Chrono Trigger not on the list?!
I didn't play it back in its heyday, but recently I started it on DS and love it. =)
So far this generation Sony hasn't had a game sell 10 million, so what are you talking about?
Please leave fanboyism in the open zone and just appreciate the achievement of an amazing development studio.
They really are passionate about their games and it shows.
It's also interesting to see game sales a year after their release. Most games seem to sell about half their lifetime sales in the first week, but Halo 3 keeps reappearing in the charts.
Good luck to Bungie on their next project after Halo 3: ODST. I hope it achieves the same success of the Halo series and shows the same brilliant gameplay design that makes Halo so replayable and still one of the most played ...
How do you play it?
If you're character's in a trap, really how can it play out other than QTEs?
I'm assuming the game will be more adventure / stealthy escaping where you're being held or something. =S
Other issue is will it really be as shocking / affecting as the movies with CG characters? If the look of the characters and facial expressions are spot-on it could just end up unintentionally hilarious.
Konami needs to tread carefully if the...
I don't think the best way to stop fanboy bashing is by counter-bashing.
Why not just not bash anyone?
Bashing the 360 because someone bashed the PS3 is the schoolyard way of doing it - they hit first, you hit back, and it doesn't solve anything.
People are getting annoyed that there's no new features in a firmware update that wasn't even announced anyway? This seems simply like a quick bugfix instead of waiting for the next major dashboard update.
No new features were expected anyway, so what's the problem? =S If there have been people with Live connection issues, it's good their problems should be solved.
Really this sin't proper news, just a little bugfix update.
Also: any mention of PSN or th...
There are a heck of a lot of 'next' buttons to click through. =S
Oh yeah, should probably say something about the actual article:
uh, nice red colour on the card?
Bethesda must have gotten rid of their QA testing team after Fallout 3 was launched...
Maybe they should have kept them until all the DLC was released?
Read the N4G title:
Bungie Dev Confirms Killzone 2 Can Be Done On Xbox360 Christian Allen.
Now go into the article and read the title:
Ex-Bungie Dev, Christian Allen, Confirms Killzone 2 Can Be Done On Xbox360
My my my, where did that 'Ex' disappear to when it was posted on N4G?
Misleading titles seems to be HHG's specialty. I'm reporting this article for inaccuracies.
CAN PEOPLE NOT READ?!
This is NOT Bungie talking, this is an ex-Bungie employee. He also mentions he's worked on GHost Recon 2 so he's also an ex-Ubisoft employee.
HE IS NOT BUNGIE. BUNGIE IS NOT CLAIMING THEY CAN MAKE K2 ON 360.
He is not even claiming Bungie can make K2 - he said GG could make K2 on 360.
Bungie has no relation to this article at all.
Ok RememberThe357, gonna have to disagree with some points there.
Killzone 2 did indeed have better lighting, particles and animations, but definitely NOT in the texture department. It's undeniable that textures in Gears 2 looked much better with much higher resolutions because that's the 360's strength, just like K2 had amazing physics and lighting because that's the PS3's strength.
Overall whichever game looks better is purely subjective - some people have differen...
After all, it is obviously Ronald McDonald since he's been gone from McDonald's advertising. Can you blame him in his depression for overindulging on his own food, forgetting about haircuts, playing WoW and luring in young girls?
....
Ok, yes we can. =)
A few good games coming out in April. =) No real game events, but I'm looking forward to seeing how Riddick turns out.
I was hoping Halo Wars would be the beginning of great console RTSs, but it looks like unless they use Halo Wars' exact control scheme they're not going to be very successful. =(
The screenshot top screenshot in the review is from Infinite Undiscovery. =S
The screenshot resolution is 1024 x 576, which is the oft-used resolution for below-HD games to be scaled up to 720p and 1080p. Is the final game going to be 576p?
It's not a real issue, but something that seems to be pretty common nowdays as graphics get more complex.
