Looks fantastic. The "QTEs" doesn't look very conventional to me, looks like choice actions more than anything. Seeing how the game got a "cinematic profile" it kinda make sense that you can form the cinematic sequences with your own choices, not quite as the TAP X TO WIN.
As a PC guy I would with certainty call this the best looking game ever made to date to be honest. (Yes yes, even better than Crysis 3)
It's funny you say that; cause it's exactly what most of the enthusiast press did.
Anyway, the write up as a whole is a good read. The guy actually seem to get it. Which shouldn't be that impressive, but with a stupid and uneducated games media overall its refreshing to see an article like this as a hot topic here on N4G
MS loosing to Sony 2:1 in the US which is pretty much the only market that held Xbox alfoat is not a good outlook. The Xbox one sold poorly in Januray and the days passed in Feburary. Meanwhile the PS4 is still selling out where supply can't meet demand. Xbox One couldn't even dream of having that problem.
Lol, certain people on neogaf will have a field day over this!
I don't think titanfall will sell any significant numbers of Xbox Ones. Not as much because it's also on other platforms, but it's a new franchise and I don't really get what it has going for it. It looks like a 2006 game though..yuck.
@Timesplitter14
Actually, 792 and 1080 does not correlate well in upscaling. IQ will suffer if that's the end resolution. Then they might as well just go with 720 seeing how that scales better across a 1080p upscale.
The point is not as much as can the Xbox One do 1080p as much as why can't it do this now? Even the PS4 will sacrifice things like resolution (perhaps) in the future to achieve better fidelity in other areas, what's alarming is that the Xbox One already have to do this. It speaks to great lengths of just how far behind the Xbox One is. The ESRAM is too small for 1080 it's just maths, as a frame buffer any engine using deferred rendering won't be able to put through 1080p with ...
Not really true. The picture is 1080p sharp, you've just letterboxed a lot of pixels which improves performance. 30fps is fine for most games. You have to make a decision between performance and quality. That's how all games works. If you'd stick with better performance (more fps for instance) you'll have to reduce quality (graphics). They aren't unlimited sources of power. Difference between Xb1 and PS4 is that the XB1 have to sacrifice quality way before the PS4 to not e...
"Best fighting game ever made" What's wrong with you? KI seems to be an 'okey' game, certainly not amazing and Double Helix is notorious for making bad games. KI being somewhat of an exception.
I seriously doubt any console ever climbed in sales after the holidays lol.. Esp not a 500 dollar console.
Annualized games always sacrifice in quality, they need to rely on simplistic and rushed development based on previous assets. It kills franchises since it bring son fatigue. It's something EA, Activision and Ubisoft pushes for cause they want short term profits, they don't care if it hurts game quality which is does, which is a long term catastrophe for them cause people will loose interest and become begrudged. I love the Metal Gear Solid franchise but never would I want Konami to r...
That's not what this is, this is not being creative, buying franchises and IPs. It's MS securing it so it won't move to the PS4 which would make MS lose 1 of like 4 exclusive franchises they're associated with.
I disagree. I don't think the Xbox One is worth getting ever. The PS4 is an immensely more competent gaming machine and I already got entertainment devices that function better than the Xbox One (most people do). And this does matter. It's ridiculous that so many people especially in the media is trying to convince us the discrepancy doesn't matter, but when the XB1 is $100 more it does so very much. XB1 needs to be cheaper than the PS4 to ever justify getting one.
No it wont, it's not enough.
It's impressive that you don't understand the correlation between supply and demand. If supplies outstrips demand there's a lack of demand by definition. So yeah, back to school with you!
No. MS shipped 3.9 million, got 3 million sold. So some 900k was sitting on shelves. The PS4 shipped 4,2 million and sold 4,2 million. It seems the lack of demand for XB1 is true.
It must be a joke. Titanfall looks like crap.
It's still terrible. How could you know whether someone's opinion is genuine or it was just bought off. This is why MS is looked upon with so much spite, don't they realize this?
@Reibooi
I completely agree. People should be happy that FFXV looks refreshing and new. It honestly looks like nothing we've seen before, and I'd much rather play that than the same old brown shooter or what ever milked to death game concept studios releases now a days. I'm superexcited for FFXV for that reason, finally something new.
This got to stop. There's nothing wrong with linear games if it serves the story. The obsessiveness with open world is ridiculous; Not every game have to be open world. And we've seen a measly 1 min of gameplay max so far of this game. And it looks amazing. The things people complain about jeez.
