What the hell does any of that to do with "Cloud computing"? You obviously don't seem to understand what it implies. We've had bots on dedicated servers for 20 years. Could you seriously not try to make an argument when you don't understand what you're saying.
Hrm? So you mean the Grunts are just bad game design then? Put there to let the player get instant gratification from earning "kills".. Well then that's just sad, lazy and stupid. I think this is a game that befits the general Xbox player base then.
My goodness. It scares me how ignorant of technology some of you are given your hobby has to do with it.
Dedicated Servers IS NOT NEW OR EXCITING. For petes sake, it's been around since the 90s, Quake ring a bell? Just because CONSOLE GAMES have been using listen servers for the longest time doesn't mean there's some magic going on. It's been around in games for almost 2 decades. BOTS ON A DEDICATED SERVER IS NOT MAGIC PEOPLE. It's damn disingenuous for Re...
ESRAM is the only reason this game isn't in 1080p. Cause in the Xbox Ones defence, it's not THAT weak. Titanfall is far from a remarkable looking game so there's no reason it shouldn't run well.
Anyway, back to the ESRAM. They say that because the main ddr3 pool is useless without it lol. That's the thing though, MS should've gone with faster memory or a bigger ESRAM.
MS probably lost money overall from Titanfall lol
@parentoftheyear
What a stupid idiot if that's actually the case.
It won't break a million. Home consoles just isn't as popular as it used to be in Japan, they've moved on to handhelds - also Japan doesn't even have half the number of people the US does lol. A good number for Japan would be between 300-500k. (I'm speaking around launch of course, not total)
Lol home consoles haven't been hot in Japan for the past decade. It'd be fun to see how horrendous the Xbox One would do
This is completely different, it's a cultural difference to consider here!
Again, this makes no sense. The chip should be able to handle its own full load lol. The cooling solution in the PS4 is designed to disperse any heat generated by the hardware without affecting it negatively. This is of course in full load. No one designs a piece of hardware not being able to manage its own performance, only time these machines are prone to failure (unless manufacturing fault is in play) is in extreme environments or potential raise of voltage generating more heat. It's a...
Honestly, that all just sounds strange to me. Why would the PS4 overheat at full load? The chip is of course designed to be able to handle its own power lol.
Seriously, you have to put it relative to TODAY, not to how the Xbox 360 sold, that's stupid. The 360 isn't its competitor, it's the PS4. And right now the Xbox One sales are abysmal in their strongest territory compared to the PS4. That surely is a reason for concern. Anyway, I don't think Xbox Ones demise is bad for the gamers, we obviously don't want what MS is offering us. The Xbox One NEEDS to fail.
Eyeco
Come on, isn't it obvious? We've only seen the visuals but hardly any gameplay. Of course it's more legitimate to rave about them than to speculate game play? There's no empirical evidence to be drawn from the trailers to whether the game play is good yet.
Yes.. A third party developer says that to an Xbox magazine.. Curious.. no wait, the other one; Obvious! It's already been said at least twice in this 'thread'. Why would PS4 development stagnate while the XB1s doesn't? Really makes no sense.
The press didn't see more than 12 minutes total, out of which roughly 2.5 min was gameplay. Honestly, they haven't seen more than us so I'm not sure how anyone could come to such firm conclusions. There could be another 10 months of polishing the game in any way so I'm not worried one bit. It is after all from what we've seen probably the best looking game ever to have been made to date.
Seriously Moneyman, you got to be kidding me? First off, yea you're right they did see more than us, they saw 12 minutes of which not everything was gameplay. Secondly; this game is not even near finished yet.
And calling this a trend from Sony is a fricking joke.. So who is the grand innovator?
I can't believe some of you people, this is the best looking game anyone of you have seen to date (say anything else and you're a lying salty fanboy or b...
Ryse had good character models... yea that's about it.
To be honest, this game would look better as a PC exclusive. But you know what? No one have made one for the past few years, all big budget games that have been released have been dependent on assets running on old console hardware. Not this time around though, these visuals blow away anything I've ever seen on PC. Master Race bows to RAD and Sony, great job!
Take off? Son it already has, with this momentum and fuel it'll be past pluto by November!
@Death
And why does that have to make them stupid? Huh?
