GPU of course. It's a very demanding calculation, a CPU would be way to slow for that. Due to its demanding nature (it essentially calculates colour pixel configuration and depending on method scales it down on what we would call edges) you would need a good card. It comes down to the technique though, some of the lighter ones only calculate pixels on edges and lowers colour opacity there. The more advanced ones essentially scales it down, tracking them all in ...
I'm sorry but the failure that is the 360 in Japan is not even close the success of the GCN or Wii U in comparison. The 360 sells in their hundreds (lol) each week. In a country of nearly 130 million people. We're 9 million in Sweden and 360 moves more units by far here than in Japan.
I don't think that's true at all. Not in certain regions at least, as the above two ones. PC versions of multiplats pretty much always sells more than their console counterparts
I still think it seems a bit dubious. Before the exclusivity deal it sounded on Respawn like that wasn't the plan at all, but rather a deal between EA and MS, judging from the surprised expressions from Respawn devs when it was announced. On the other hand it might as well have been Respawn who were being dishonest. Who knows.
Xbox One is selling okey, but hardly what MS had hoped. I would be surprised if they sold more than 4.5 million to date, which is pretty crap comparing to the competition.
Not really. PC is very popular. Especially in Scandinavia and Germany.
Xbox One only sells in the states. They're back to selling half of what the PS4 is selling globally. This is a ratio that's been around for some time which only disrupted with titanfall release where the Xbox One closed the gap for one week. And don't blame markets. Xbox One have already launched in the important European markets yet the PS4 outsells it by 300%.
They can't let the games do the talking, they got a stutter!
TV consoles are dead in Japan. They're all about them handhelds now.
And you think Sony uses out of special school drooling fools? Come on, wake up; anything MS can do Sony can do, and wise versa.
It's bullshit honestly. It also would mean that somehow API features are exclusive and static for some and not for others. Gains are to be made but one can not by pass hardware which performance is finite. Both consoles will pretty much share all API features.
There is none, cause the two are not mutually exclusive. Which is why its such a stupid argument to begin with!
I think there's a really faulty thought behind that argument "Gameplay is more important", yes sure but why would that exclude better performance/graphics? It's not like you can't have both at the same time. :S One does not exclude the other so to say.
Don't blame Bethesda, they had nothing to do with it. TESO was developed by Zenimax
lol did you really just say that?
Well written.
People you need to realise that you can like your Xbox without having to stoop to believing stupid MS marketing.
My goodness, people in here;
First of all, streaming full content is a lot easier than syncing computations over the internet. Cloud computations in real time to match your local hardware with a latency of lower than 30ms to match your screens refresh rate is a pipe dream and won't be feasible for this generation.
Titanfall and PvZ are online shooters using dedicated servers, not a magic cloud.
Problem is selling a product advertising i...
Oh my jebus, the discussion were specifically about the Xbox One hardware. So why would actual play even matter? It doesn't IN THIS DISCUSSION.
Of course there's that too, but this early in the generation it's not as big of a problem, the more immediate one is the ESRAM. The GPU and CPU would be efficient enough for Xbox One games to look better than they actually do today, the ESRAM is just in the way.
Huh? Titanfall didn't help Xbox One at all. Sales DECREASED from February to March. And EVERYONE thought Titanfall would do miracles. You got everything backwards lol.
